Good day! I'm here fr a sec...doing some looking and messaging. You know, I don't mind messages one bit, btw. Ideas, ?'s, a hello =D It's more personal and one on one for me. Good way to get to know you guys some.

Weekend? what's that!!!! I often work past weekends myself and have more than often scheduled wed/thurs as my "weekend" Easier to run errands like that!

I'm actually heading to Tucson tomorrow to buy a piece of equipment I need in the Scottsdale, Az. studio...my kinda fun! :D lots of cleaning (from the studio remodel) organizing and such going on too. We have a bunch of professional peers coming through the studio I just built here, it's made quite the splash :)

Pietro~ I'll be calling you this weekend when you're off so we can make some plans. I'll be here until Sept. 1st now...

have a wonderful one!

Ps....here's a sample of some of Raychel Stein's color. She works with different glass than Bert and I do, which makes the color wayyyyy different. At 15 years in flameworking, I'm happy to be here learning something new.

on the most awesome of sidenotes. I shared this rig with my analog consuming peer...he's sold on switching now! This will be the third professional glass blower that will be analog free thanks to the effort involved here....that! makes me very happy. thank You!

I have to say that I have been neglecting sharing with you some of my sculptural glass work. I love making aquatic forms out if glass myself. It's been a part of my glass craft since I started. I'm more than happy to explore forms like these for custom.

here's a few examples of my aquatic glassy muse :D

Triton and Mermaid wedding goblets.jpg

a custom wedding toast set. these are solid, but I have made hollow mermaids and mermen as well

This is a little the stuff I'm doing today...

2 Glass 1 Bottle Wine Crate - Doing 25 of these but with different top and bottom logos.

Set up to do 4 different wine glasse types for the same customer, 528 of each, no pics of it yet tho. At the moment waiting for the laser marking solution to dry, then I will be etching some decorations on a Zippo, a flask, and some glasses for a friend's wedding.

Finsihed one side of the Zippo. Here's a pic, yes I am making dumb faces at the reflection, and no I don't look that heavy in RL

The kid this gift is going to is 17, he is part of the wedding party. He's a good kid, I have hung out with him a few times, good morals. He's a good-looking little dude from what I gather, and always had little girls hanging around him. Did good in school, hung out with friends on the weekends, normal 17 yr old stuff. He started on his highschool's team.

A month ago or so he was riding quads out at the dunes and broke his back, and now his life will be forever changed. Very sad, as he was so healthy. His mother, a good friend of mine, is a breast cancer survivor, and his younger brother has some trange disease that I don't know how to say (He's 13 and looks/sized 6)

I won't take a pic of the other side when it's done, it may be a little too much for the more conservative folk.

If you guys can pray for his family, they are good people who just have god-awful luck.

EDIT: Dude I say "good" a lot...

In my old house we had a ton of these bottle crates from the wineries we hauled for, I think mostly Ste. Michelle if I remember correctly. More square than these though. We mounted them like shelves on this big blank wall, some open, some with the door/lid on them, used them for decor and to display wine glasses and glass and ceramic dragons. I think I still have a bunch of them in storage lol. Pics are on the computer with the fried MB.. I really need to get everything off that hard drive.

Ya most of the stuff I do is for wineries :D Before I started working here I remember my mother used crates she had gotten to make decorative endtables and holders for potted plants in the garden. I d all shapes and sizes, holding all sorts of stuff. My favorite is the twelve bottle holder, or the single 18 Liter bottle, its holds a HUGE bottle and looks like a treasure chest :D

Here is the glass I am making right now, just 400 more to go, then do the same logo on 528 of three other glass types
