Hi guys! I've been doing some research. Which do you prefer for wicking material? Silica, cotton, or SS mesh?

I liked cotton the best for taste, the mesh I dont think it allows the juice to breath or expand like in cotton or silica. So, for me either cotton or silica...but i think silica has a coating on it I'm not sure...I think silica has a slightly strange taste to it...

Hm, not sure I would have to ask Sedge, he is asleep...not sure if silica wicks carries it prob just silica...

Okay, I"m through 15 pages so far, and this is my plan: I'm heading to Michael's in search of organic cotton or bamboo yarn. I'm also ordering wire from silica wicks. One trick that looks interesting: I"m gonna take a q-tip and cut one of the heads off and use it to wrap my coils. I can then slide the q-tip out and slide the wick in. Does this sound like a plan?
