Mike - sorry to hear that .... sometimes it is easier to work through your hot-spot than tinker them to death. :(

I have messed with "pretty good coils" to the point where they were turned into total failures.

My guess is that the mesh is not insulated enough by the red hot quench and the juice burn off before installing it..... Dang it had to get really hot and required surface area to burst into a flame

blu, i had a hot spot and messed with it til i gave up and wrapped another coil and this one sucks bad... all e1 and e2 and the top even started on fire, lol.

Sooner,,, try it on a mechanical Mod 1st then once you get it put on Provari,,, best tip I can give you is get that coil glowing evenly with NO Juice in the tank,,, then fill, this helps,,, just oxidize your wick and put it in with no juice in the tank, wrap coils attach wire, burn till all coils are glowing evenly,,,, fiddle with top wire pulling the wick closer to center post.

I usually do Blu.... But the girls did their summer semester in Zurich so we could have the time off for the family holiday.... They have sort of adopted Zurich as their home away from home and want to show Mother..... . And I never say no to an invitation :)
