Woo, just took a much needed nap. ;)

Ms. T's was really good about getting the tip to me once the mix-up was understood. I just mailed the tip I had back to her, and she over nighted my tip to me along with some extra goodies. So, I would buy another Trippy from her with confidence.

Truth is, we all make mistakes, it's how we handle those mistakes that matters.

Well, had to drop the dog off for an emergency vet appointment. This will cost an arm and a leg. He had a lump pop up on his ankle yesterday and by this afternoon it was the size of a golf ball, all the hair fell off, and it started seeping puss and blood. :worried:

oh no amber i'm sorry about your pup :( sending healing thoughts and prayers your way

Hey James,
Damn dude I am sorry to hear about this but glad you can find the humor. I hope you don't take too huge a loss as I've been down that path before. I'd sue the guy for the difference between what it would take to get exactly the same van back given the miles, wear and tear. I had a 5 year-old Honda totaled out from underneath me back in the 80s and the insurance company only gave me $3K when I could have sold mine for at least $6K. I got a lawyer and got $6K plus court costs. I worry about my old T-100 when I'm out and about it's 15 years old with 100K on the clock but it's worth $15K to the right buyer. I think the insured value is probably less than $6K. It's hard to have anything nice these days and not have somebody trash it or want to steal it....Been there and had somebody done that as well. Brew
Thanx for the concerns everybody, sorry I had to post and run, trying to sort this all out, wife is in the 2nd yr of collage and needs a vehical so that's #1 right now... Idk what I'm gunna do but I think the banks calling me name haha... Ah well.. Thx everybody

You're gonna love that tip. that glass is gorgeous in person  I really hope Bert can do more of it in the future
Yeah the jade green had me all worked up, I don’t think I’ve ever created an account that fast before. I’m getting a little worried that I might not get it with the problems going on with DFW. I sure hope no one bought it in the store today.

duke you should be good, seems like it's only 3 of us who have had a problem and that was with earlier afternoon sales, i'm sure they came up with a fix for it after the 3 of us because i haven't hear of any more problems :D

Howdy Trippyville,
Been a big day and will be a busy weekend but wanted to share a bit of good news that may benefit Amber as it made my day.

I had a major break-through on the ERA No Flavor front, after building numerous (9) different wick-n-coil configurations, I've finally discovered what was going on. However, I'll make an exception and that is that I need to build yet another successful wick-n-coil to prove my hypothesis but the issue was fairly obvious I just kept ignoring it. So on to the discovery.

I had been given a multitude of advice trying to help me with my issues and I've read every suggestion, I then researched every reported wick-n-coil design as well as a whole bunch of reviews and ultimately I believe it was Grimm Green's review of the Phoenix or A7 that finally turned on the light. Grimm mentioned to be careful to pull the coil away from the negative and positive poles or you run the chance of shorting out the last few wraps of the coil. That's when the epiphany struck and I remember firing my coil and seeing only the center wraps glowing brightly. I thought the wick was just impeding the heat but NO I was shorting out the last couple of wraps on each end of the coil. So that means even on a 6/5 wrap I only had 2 wraps doing all the work.

So last night I wrapped a 6/5 coil and used the design Cyclin suggested some weeks ago. When I got the coil and wick pulled into the posts, snugged and screwed down tight, a dry-burn showed the same issue of the last 2 coils on each end not glowing orange. So I loosened the screws, backed the leads of the coil out about 1/32" and retightened the screws. This time when I hit the power the entire coil glowed. I then trimmed the leads, juiced the coil-n-wick and 5 pulls later the flavor started coming on strong. So if your not getting flavor from a properly wrapped and powered coil then check the coil to post spacing cause this is way too easy to miss. Whew!

Here's that design Cyclin suggested. It's a bit easier than my other design and perfectly traps the juice on both sides of the center connector. It's essential a single strand of 3mm folded on the end where the coil gets wrapped. The strand is trimmed even with the bottom of the ERA base right in front of the coil. This lets you place the wick-n-coil and after getting everything set, you can cut the strand off after tightening the loop around the center connector. Very little wasted wick with this method. Brew
