Thanks, Pietro. I wasn't really planning on getting a new trippy this weekend, unless I saw one I could give Tara. Speaking of which, I'm afraid I've made a mistake getting her a Vamos. I didn't realize how big it actually was until I went to a thread about them this morning. With the sleeve, it's even bigger than my chrome Lavatube! Of course, I figured she would use it in mine-mode, but even then....

Be sure you test it to make sure it works because mine was a dud. I had to send it back. Everything looked proper on screen, but my multi tested that it was stuck on 3 volts no matter what. If it works, Im sure you could sell it on the classies.

If she likes really small stuff you might consider a kgo vv reid. Size of an ego, but runs from 3-6 volts. Very accurate too.

I'll be sure to test it Amber. Though are you sure you weren't in VW mode? One of the reviewers on the Vamos thread was .....ing about it being stuck at 4 volts until he realized he was actually looking at battery life, lol.

Yeah Im sure. I tried it in both vv and vw with an inline tester with diff attys and diff batteries. The screen showed what I put in, but my tester showed 3 volts no matter what.

I was trying to get her something with replaceable batteries, but the Kgo might work.

I could always break down and get her a mini-Provari. It's more than I was planning on spending, and it doesn't have a native ego connector, but it might work.

Works as a passthrough too. I really like mine. Kind of short battery life, but since you can plug them in and keep using it it makes it ok for me.

I keep looking over all the tips and while there are numerous wonderful offerings, the DHC sculptures continue to draw me in. It's not like I need them but already having the Captain and the Pirate I feel a need to collect the whole series, the Zombie and the Skull with tophat are to die for. The other honeycomb Mummy is calling to me as well. Just gonna have to see how it goes on Saturday. I DO NOT want a repeat of my last German Kid experience. I wish you all well and my thoughts are on news from Coralie and Ralf. Brew
