Reid, did you test that vamo with a multi or voltage reader? Got an email from the guy saying mine was fine, but my testing didn't say it was. Wondering if my tests were wrong somehow.

Amber, not directly. I tried, but my voltage reader wouldn't work for some reason. So what I did instead is try it on a carto and increased/decreased the voltage. I then went and changed it between VRMS and average mode; sure enough, it fired hotter using the average mode, just like the reviews said. More importantly, I put in watts mode and it changes just fine. For example, I've figured that my T2s tend to fire better at around 8.5 watts, while my carto tanks tend to perform best around 10 watts. My voltage reader doesn't seem to work on my Zmax either; I wonder it has something to do with that pulsating thing.

I believe I read somewhere they won't accept anything with ohms under 1.2

I've got a couple coming. One for me, one for Tara. And my full-size Vivi nova with the purple metal skin finally arrived after traveling cross-country, lol. It looks great with my fleur-de-lis!

Any tips on not getting dry burns with te novas Reid?

I like to let the wicks prime for a few minutes before vaping. Other than that, rotate the wrist just like you do with the stardust. I'm not familiar with the mini's; like I said, I've got some coming. I haven't noticed any dry burn issues with the standard ones. Make sure your voltage's not too high; in general, the head that comes on it is 2.4ohms. Most reviewers prefer this, however, I find I get the best performance out of the 2.8s, but that's just me.

Oh, and I just noticed as I was loading my new one: I tend to let the juice pour in over the wicks themselves. Also, make sure the head is securely attached. Sometimes when I unscrew the cap, the head comes loose. That seems to be where leaking issues come from.

Okay, I just got my first dry hit off of a Vivi because I didn't follow my own advice. I didn't give the wicks a chance to prime, and had the wattage too high. Yuck!

Anybody know how long people usually have to wait for artist choice tips?

It varies depending on the complexity of the tip and what the guys' schedules are like. I think the "artist's choice" is a shorter wait than a custom order, though. Bert or Freddy would have to chime in on a specific timeframe

It also depends on how many people are ahead of you.
