I am not sure but I do know that when I went in for my last operation and was on the oxygen mask every time I sneaked a puff the oxygen levels dropped like crazy. I was too snonked out to notice but Ralf said it was amazing and suprised him how much vaping affected the oxygen levels. He doesn't vape but he has posed the question of shoud I still be vaping.
My answer at this stage is I am going to continue to vape and take my chances.
From what I have read....and please correct me guys..it's not the nicotine that causes cancer..it was the junk that was in the cigs to start out with.

You are so special Delilah, remembering everyone like this was a wonderful idea.
I wanted to take a moment to remember those who we mourned in TrippyTipsVil in 2012... their passing saddened us and brought TrippyTipsVil closer together...

After surgery - definitely yes. Smoking (? vaping) can decrease oxygen and slow/impede healing. Plastic surgeons won't TOUCH a smoker.

If it was during chemo/radiation, I guess it would depend if it made me more nauseated, or maybe helped? Not sure.

It's up to you and what your doctors say though Vintage.

Well I haven't told the Doctors because I don't think they understand vaping plus I really didn't want them making decisions based on if I were a smoker or not because I know they don't put smokers first.
I am hoping vaping ginger or spearmint will help the nausea.
None of my friends vape and Downunder it really is rare to find anyone vaping so I have no one to ask about the risk of vaping.

DWC! :D

Glad you got a new bed :D -- it makes all the difference in the world to get a good night's rest

AS for vaping - I agree with Blu - if going to surgery I'd stop vaping just as I'd stop smoking :)

I have no friends or family who vape either Coralie! Some of them continue smoking though, even though I gave one of them a REO with all the fixins  Thank goodness for my friends on ECF or I wouldn't know anyone that vaped

uh, Vintage, just my 2 cents...
Your asking for advice in a vaping forum goes against all my medical experience. No one here knows your physiological condition.....has seen your blood work....understands the pathology.....the more recent anatomical pathology....etc..etc...etc

Ask for advice from your Primary Care Physician :)

Hi everyone. Good to hear from you Vintage. The new bed sounds like a nice thing to do for yourself and your recovery. I agree with the Kamster, ask the doc. Now that your surgery is complete, you wouldn't have to worry that it will delay your treatment?

Thanks for the info on the oxygen....I didn't know that. Have to be honest, though, it does make me rethink vaping.....does anyone know if this is dependent on the Nic levels.
