I feel for you my friend and understand that life can be strange when it comes to family. Even though growing up my family was fairly vanilla, my Mom's dementia causes her to at times be someone I don't even recognize. Lately it seems her dementia has taken a turn for the worse so Christmas and the Holidays were just brutal. She had a UTI come on and I guess that is often a trigger for her condition so the lying, arguing and general hateful side went into full swing. My wife is in martyr mode and am certain if I had a cross in the front yard, she'd ............ on it. Me well I just want the most important 2 women in my life to be happy. So you persevere, keep a smile on your face and move forward into what's next. I'm trying really hard not to focus on the moment and at least this particular Holiday Melee made going back to work after being off for 12 days a much easier effort. We are bumping up the hours that her care-giver is coming into her house to hopefully pull my wife out of the bad-girl role but that too is going to set her off. I can't imagine what the future holds but I know I had better enjoy today. Hang in there my friend and hopefully Rosie REO will be on her way to your place in the not-so-distant future to make your ERAs gurgle with flavored nicotine-goodness.

I too am very sorry to hear about the stress that is going on in your life. You're a good man for being able to keep that smile to make your ladies happy. Your wife sounds like a lovely person to put herself in that position to help your mother. It is very difficult when someone you've known your entire life acts like a person you don't know, and don't want to. Our thoughts go our for your mother, and for strength for you and your wife during this stressful period.

In fact, though I wanna smack myself for not waiting til the 16th like I had planned, Rosie should be coming home to me sooner than we thought! (Lol there is some company restructuring going on for beginning of the year and starting with todays check through the next month I get paid weekly, so I got a paycheck today when I expected none...got a little giddy lol)
