Mornin all! Hope y'all are having a great weekend!
I had meetings all day yesterday and was so exhausted when I finally got home that I didn't even bother to check my mail. I got up this morning and Woohoo! My tips came in! They're beautiful! This one was a shock though:

I didn't realize it was a flatmouth peanut! I love it! 2 of my favorite shapes combined into one!
I'll try to get pictures posted sometime this weekend.

Steeping question: I typically steep my juices by putting them in a cool dark place, with the cap on. I've seen several videos saying to leave the cap off. What do y'all do?

I will generally open them for a minute to expose them to air, but then I close them back up to steep. I'm terribly clumsy so leaving juice bottles open is just an accident waiting to happen.

The saga of bad cartos continues for me today After going through one box of bad cartos yesterday, I opened a new box and and installed yet another new one. I got good vapes for the rest of the day yesterday. But this mornining, after a couple of good vapes with my coffee poof -- burnt nasty tasting vape

I leave the caps off to steep. I keep them in a cabinet where they can't get knocked over by mischiefs.

Delilah, where are you getting your cartos from? I always order mine from CCV, and I've yet to get a bad batch, even at the height of Boge-gate.
Speaking of which, I'm ...... of at myself. I thought I ordered a 15-pack of standard size LR Boges from CCV. I went to open them this AM only to find I had ordered the XL's. To make sure CCV hadn't screwed up, I went and check; sure enough I'd ordered the XL's. Can you say senior moment? I realize they still work in my carto tanks, but it just looks weird!

The only time I steep with the caps off is if the juice uses alcohol in the mix. I don't like those, but when I happen to buy one without realizing it has alcohol in it I'll steep with the cap off to let it evaporate out some and make it vapable.

Okay, what kind of punch do you use? I use this one:
V2 Cartomizer Punch - Phiniac Rugged Pyrex Glass Tanks

It's easy. I just line up the carto, start turning the screw and when it bites, give it 3 1/2 revolutions (that's 7 turns total). Then repeat on the other side of the carto. No guesswork, no hassles. And I've yet to have any problems with flooding the carto.

Easy, ask the vendor

Seriously, though, after trying a bunch of juices that I was aware before ordering contained alcohol-based flavorings (or were all-VG with alcohol for thinner) I can just recognize when it's present when I vape it, sometimes just from smelling it. To me it just adds a certain "something" to the flavor and throat hit that I really don't like, so it's easy for me to pick out most of the time. Fortunately, nowadays most juice vendors will tell you up front if it has any, so I don't get surprised often ;-)

I was wondering, because you were talking about punching too hard. I'd suggest changing vendors and see if that solves the problems. Like I said, I really like Crystal Clear Vaping. I just ordered 15 Boge standard cartos for $19.90. And the shipping's free!

That's where I got mine, too, and I had nothing but problems with them. I have never had a problem with CCV, so I may go back to them, I just really liked the $23 for 5 box deal at Surevapes!

In other news, I got my new tips from Mawn and oh my goodness, I love them! Especially the one with the window. I like watching the vapor swirl around. Pictures in a bit!

Before I got into RBA's, I preferred the Smoktech L/R cartos. SureVapes has an excellent deal on 5 (25 total cartos) boxes of these - $30, shipped. But I never got the hang of tanks, so I can't speak to how well these might work for you.

Edit: Somehow I assumed you were using the Boges, which is why I mentioned the Smoktechs. If I'm wrong, sorry for offering stupid advice. I'll just go have another cup of coffee, lol.

I've got to admit, my range dying is turning out to be a good thing. Before, I almost never used my crock-pot, and now it's a life-saver. I just put on supper (a pot of soup, using left-over meatloaf from last weekend). I don't have to do a thing, just let it go all on it's own and by tonight, I've got supper!

De, maybe your not punching far enough and therefore not able to draw enough juice into the carto. if you are topping it off, it may explain why it vapes good initially then burns.
