Hey Pierto,
Keeping it true and being Brew :D
Thanks for the reply but you have literally found exactly what I have. The best flavor bar-none in my REO family is an ERA on my VV Grand. What I'm really fishing to find out is if there is a technology better for flavor at 3.7V and is there a non-leaking solution that also rocks at 3.7V. My hornet fits my First Gen Mini 2.0 drip well perfectly. I didn't realize that others had an issue but then The IVS ordered the REO-modded Hornets from Budz Worx so perhaps they machined them a scosche bit smaller. The problem is that none of the 3.7V devices rock like my regulated voltage VV Grand. I've even been contemplating Kicking a Grand to see if I can find that lovin feeling. I also appreciate what Bert has said but have held off on SS mesh because I do often under-squonk and the dry-hits off mesh are supposed to be killer. I REALLY hate throat hit so again mesh may not be in the works plus the fiddly oxidation process. The glass capillary tubes had me intrigued as it would be by it's very nature an insulator. Win, win!!
Thankfully I'm fairly paitent so we'll see where this leads. I'm vaping a Vapor Kings 510 on my Grand right now and it isn't all that bad. Still not my loving feeling.

for some reason my print screen button doesn't work or is there another button you have to push at the same time?

great idea thanks Hz and Bert:D

Brew waaaaaaasssssssssssuuuuuuuuuuuuppppppp!!!!!!!!!!:toast:
So I guess I could be considered a Reo Fanman but I think I'm pretty obective at the same time so I'm gonna try and answer your ?'s as such:) For starters the only time I get leakage from my ERA's or Hornet is if I over squonk I have a few white tank tops with juice stains on them from this issue since I like to lay whatever Reo with ERA on my chest while in bed surfing the forum or watching TV but recently I have come up with a solution that seems to be working 1 I try really hard not to over squonk and the other is I have the tail of my wick blocking my air hole which is 1/16" so doesn't seem to effect the draw very much but no leaks so far ***knocks on woodvil*** There is another factor that I believe KJ addressed in which certain juices can't handle the heat as some can before dropping off some of the flavor and if your running 3 different juices thru the same RBA at same ohm it may be tough to get the perfect vape out of them all IMO. I only run silica 3mm cuz its easy and pretty much idiot proof. My ERA's give for me on my VV Reo give the best vape and flav YMMV:) You might prefer the Surface or A7 since they don't have the side hole. As for stealthy and on the go Rob is coming out with the Mini2.1 which will have the bigger catch cup to allow use of all BF RBA's available also the ERA team has come out with an ERA tank and last but not least when I get a great coil wick setup and the flavor drops off I just take it off my Reo and run it under water then dry burn it and flick the burn crap off with a toothpick or mini screwdriver rejuice and go:vapor::vapor::vapor: just my :2c: VAPE IT LIKE YOU STOLE IT!!!!!

Sorry, I have missed this whole entire conversation but print screen will copy your screen to clipboard. Open up paint or something and hit Ctrl+V to paste it in. You should then be able to print that
thanks Renee and Jdub worked perfectly:toast:

I've got a ths hornet coiled up around 1.2ish ohms and it kicks but on my Mini 2.0 @ 3.7v if you decide to kick the Grande give me a holler I got a couple kicks I'm not currently using

Thank you my Friend. I'm going to try a few variations first but am interested as to why you aren't using the kicks? My VV Grand just rocks and I'd think the kicks would mimic that experience. Brew

Brew like Pietro said on mechanical I try to wrap 1.0 - 1.3Ω, though a 1.5Ω atty is too hot for me, RBAs are different.

I had the kick in my Mini 2.0 but like Nick said the ohm deal is a little different with these RBA's people are doing 1ohm coils with a 3.7v batt so out the gate @ 4.2v with a 1ohm you got like 16+watts and the kick only does 10 watts I just took my kick out and wrapped a 1.2-1.3 ohm coils a damn its good and I get better battery life with the 18490 vs the 18350 its weird but they respond differently

Time for some sleep for me good night folks

BTW Renee (fudgey) just turned 3 years you folks might want to pop in http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/ecf-veterans-forum/382739-feb-21st-fudgey-turns-three.html

Morning Trippyville,
Alright, I'm going to try wrapping things a bit lower in Ohms but right now the largest wire I've got is 30AWG. I thing I need some 28AWG. I too have noticed that folks are winding some serious low ohm coils and yet I have also found that 1.5 Ohms on the RBA is nothing like a 1.5Ω Joye. I was just apprehensive to get too close to 1.0Ω. This maybe the issue as I'm fairly certain I'm running a 1.8Ω coil at ~4.4-4.5V on the VV Grand.

I wonder if we'll ever get Robert O'neil to do a Variable Wattage Grand or a dual, parallel 18490 Midi with enough efficiency to make it last. I know the Buzz Pro/Not Ciggs electronics (Buck regulation) actually increase the efficiency of the power utilization and my VV Grand easily does 10-12 hours without a battery change using the mod 2-3 hours a night. I doubt that anything but Buck-style regulation is going to provide longevity. All of the Boost single-battery implementations knock efficiency to about 70% of rated. Unless we will eventually see 2500MAH 18500s then a 18650 would be required to get enough runtime for a whole day boosted.

I wonder what Amber's mod can do with the biggest 18650 that reasonable fits in her mod? I prefer metal-mods as I'm way too clutzy and lazy to properly take care of wood but I really like her design and the regulation she does even if it's more of a tank solution.

Morning Tipsters, Up early this morning, could'nt sleep so i am up washing in the washing machine, coffee in hand vaping watching a beautful morning unfold.

Talking about a mod that lasts, I have a Shan Mod that takes 2 x 18650 with on/off switch and VV. It lasts days. Easy 2 days constant use.

If I remember correctly, Rob suggests using IMR batts. IMR's are great for mech mods because they have low internal resistance. It allows for greater Amperage. With that design comes less mAh, so shorter shorter run times. Mike at notcigs did extensive testing on battery life per charge. If you use protected Li-ion you will get longer run times than with IMR.
