He's a blue and white. He used to be more blue, but he's definitely getting more white hair as he ages. I knew that would happen, hence Gandalf seeming to be the perfect name for the little guy.

They are definitely a unique breed of dog. He's got a *lot* of personality. :)
That they do. My Ringo was convinced he was a big dog. At Mom's, he couldn't be bothered with her Chihuahua and Yorkie. He spent his time running with her Black Lab and my sister's boxer.

One of my favorite memories was this: my cat likes to sit in one of my dining room chairs. Every time Ringo would walk by, she'd reach down and slap him and he'd jump a mile high, lol. Now she doesn't have claws so it didn't hurt him, but you'd think she'd mortally wounded him. They reminded me so much of Garfield and Odie.

Lol, did yours make this horrible screaming sound if he thought he'd been injured in the slightest way? Gandalf makes the most awful cry if he thinks he's been hurt.

Mine was raised with Pitbulls, so he's never thought he was a little dog. When I used to put him in doggy daycare, they'd send him out with the big dogs to play.

How long did you have Ringo?

Not a Trippy pic, but here's an adorable pic of my cast-less Gandalf wearing the Cone of Shame. Love this little guy.

Yep. That's the sound he'd make everytime Samantha slapped him, lol.
One of the reasons I went with an Italian Greyhound was that they weren't supposed to be big barkers. Unfortunately, he grew up around Mom's Yorkie, so he became my alarm system.

He was 9 1/2 when he passed away I got him when he was 4 months old. The vet thinks he had a heart condition that nobody caught, as he passed suddenly.

I lost my Corgi the same way. She was having surgery for a torn ligament and it turned out she had an undetected heart condition. I did so much research on breeds before getting Gandalf, and partially picked the breed because it said they could live almost 20 years (unless they keep breaking things!). But truthfully, there is no way to tell. Our other dog, Sally, our Pit, turned 15 in December which I guess is super old for the breed. The vet doesn't believe me when I tell her she's that old because other than having gone deaf, she's still got tons of energy and is doing fantastic.

Oh, and Gandalf barks, too. Drives the hubby nuts, but I like the free alarm.

As for the tip, I am having mad luck lately with getting amazing tips. I'm hoping this is just one more sign that things are starting to turn around. :D (Also, I saw the Facebook post before the post here on the forum, so I was kinda halfway there already...) ;)

15's incredibly old for a Pit. My grandmother never had one make it to 10. Supposedly their heart's very small for a dog that size. On the other hand, she had a chihuahua that lived to be 23!
