Amber I was gonna say check harbor freight LOL That's where my camera is from and it's been running great, outside, for years without a problem. I don't have mine on a dvr though, just a monitor. That set up is way cooler than mine lol

As for the people and letting them into your home, your personal experience and gut feeling about them is what to follow. Hubby is a little paranoid. It's ok to be a little paranoid, but you can't live a life with other people in it if you can't extend a little trust once in a while. Take the precautions of marking tools, securing the shop, and putting up cameras just in case anything happens, be it with these people or some random break in, and enjoy having people over.

Thanks De! I think thats just what I'll do.

Well still no Provari. According to the website, there was a notice given to me yesterday. I, however, didn't get one. Today's mailman (who's apparently different than yesterday's mailman) didn't have it, and suggested that it should be at the post office. So off I go to the post office and it's not there. They assure me there should be a second attempt at delivery tomorrow. I sure hope so. :(

Sorry Reid! I had something like this happen once, and it turned out that my item had been pushed into the back of the mail carriers truck and forgotten about for several days. Once I finally found the mail carrier from the day it was out for delivery it was at my doorstep within an hour!

I can have DH look at it later if you want, he has installed some cameras in schools and knows which ones are better depending on where you put them. We have a day/night camera in the backyard that works really well. We have them because my DH is really paranoid too

And.........I am out of here!!!! TGIF!!!!!!! :D

I have mine because I hate unexpected visitors and like to know who is standing on my porch before I go to the door. Plus my neighborhood sucks, it's not always wise to answer your door around here. And the dogs think the monitor makes a great window too, they like to bark at everything that moves on the screen lol

I think I will go through and mark everything. Do GTT's have serial numbers on them somewhere? I couldnt find one on mine. I need to take photos for my insurance anyway. Wonder what it would cost to set up a camera system like that? I would need it to record two places because my shop is split between the garage and the spare bedroom. I think I will at least get some of those noise alarms to put on the windows and maybe back door. No one could be stupid enough to break in through the front with how visible my house is to the neighborhood.

Yes, but they are on the inside of the gtts. Freddy could explain how to get at it, or you could call gtt if you bought it new and they would have it. My DVR system cost me about $200.00 but that was in 2008 and it is fancy with wireless/color/night vision. They show up on Woot from time to time. I will let you know next time I see one. One way to look at this situation is that he let you into his studio before he ever met you, but do be careful.

I live in a neighborhood kind of like that :( I bet our dog would love that.....LOL We have 4 cameras, front porch, driveway, backyard and side road. We live a block off a main road and we have people walking down our street all the time. He almost caught a couple of kids one night trying to get in the garage. Just because he had it propped open a little  They had a lot of nerve to even do that since it was still early.

I had a great day!!! My son took his CDL driving test today and passed!!!!!!!!:toast:

totally off topic question, but I need to find some info so I'm asking you all :p
Anyone know of a resource to figure out pricing on used guitars? like a blue book for guitars or something? lol I need to sell a couple.

Hmm, not really. There are some books available on the subject, but they're mostly for high-end and vintage gear. A lot of the mid-range guitars don't retain much value in the long term. My google-fu didn't turn up anything reliable online, either. Some music shops will appraise them for you so it can't hurt to check out any local shops or luthiers and ask. Probably the best you can do online is just comparison shop online for the particular makes/models you're looking to part with
musician's friend used to have a trade-in program, send 'em a description and they'd get back to you with a quote, but I don't know if that's still going on or if it was only for credit (and isn't the highest buying price, either)

Nothing else I'm aware of, but that doesn't mean something's not out there

What do you have de? I play, so I've done a lot of research deciding what I want for myself, selling ones I don't like. It's like pvs, you just keep trading up until you find one that's perfect for you. Mine turned out to be an acoustic Taylor with on board electronics that has just the right tone for my voice. :)

I actually don't play, well I played bass for a tiny bit. These were left here when my ex who was also my friend, was living with me for a bit, dissappeared/ran away/became some crazy mountain man/or whatever he did about 6 years ago. No one has heard from him in years, I don't even know if he's still alive :( But I'm clearing stuff out of my spare room and storage unit, including his stuff, to pay some med bills.
They are an ibanez - 12 string acoustic model v7012-nt-27-01 that he bought right before he left and a bc rich bronze series Warlock 24303465 that I bought for him in the early 2000's
