Well I broke down and ordered a Kmax. Here's a pic:

what sold me is the mirror screen: it's invisible until you press the button. The only problem I've heard from reviewers is that you can't toggle between RMS and mean and apparently it's set to mean, which means it tends to over-power the wattage settings. If that's the case, I can easily either dial down the watts setting or use VV instead. The good news is that I found it for $40. The bad news is that it's coming from China. I ordered it from VaporBreak.

BErt! I can't imagine getting pelted with that icy hail! WOW! Sorry about your wet/dry vac! Sounds like the job was too big for it. I got a new vacuum recently -- I went for a lightweight but great little vacuum -- The Hoover Cyclonic Corded Stick Vac and I give it a HUGE thumbs up! So nice not to have to lug out my 20+ pound Bissell for the floors :D I also used a new cleaning gadget this weekend - a Quickie HomePro power scrubber. :thumb: With it I have been a mean cleaning machine! :D Shower tiles, bathtub, sink, baseboards, kitchen floor-- all are sparkling! I feel like Mrs. Clean  I feel a little silly being so excited about it but after decades of using my hands and knees and elbow grease I am loving this thing!

Coralie! Good to see you! So glad you are feeling better. :D

Reidus -- pics when you get your new PV :)

I'm off to sparkle the bathroom floor tiles now :D

Wishing all a terrific Tuesday

Very cool Bert!

as for the day - mostly better than yesterday.. I did come home to something different today though.

I walked into my house, and it looked like I had an active and somewhat crazy laser grid. The dogs got into my crochet, stole a ball of yarn (that was still attached to a project) and unraveled it throughout the living and dining rooms, I think they each took an end then raced through and around the house in different directions, creating their own art project. Sadly I yelled sonofab.... upon opening the door to this and immedietly began collecting my yarn. The dogs were then the saddest looking creatures ever and they sat out of the way until I had finished untangling and rewinding the entire yarn ball, and sitting out of the way for anything more than 2 minutes when I walk through the door is completely unheard of here. Luckily the project was just a pattern I was working on writing and not the one for the order I just started. The dogs are over it now, as soon as I was done and called them they came happily running over for their "I'm home" greeting, though I really wish I would have gotten pics of this.

Hi Bert, Yes it's spring Downunder and we have already had fires out of control in N.S.W.
Ralf has been amazing, I feel so sorry for him having to put up with someone that is always sick. I just wish my life would go back to normal. I try and not complain but he can always pick when I am in pain or had a tough day. He really deserves better.

Hi DW and good morning all,

Sorry to hear you are sick DW! Spring is right around the corner in Australia right? Is Ralph back to make some chicken soup for you and keep you off your feet for a few days?
