Just got home, I am beat, and have to help DD with a homework paper. I had SO much fun hanging out with everyone. And going down to Freemont (?) Street was a real experience. LOL

Well we had a great time meeting up with everybody, tho we wish we could have spent more time with everybody. Kali loved meeting all of you! And wanted me to say she thinks brew and his fantastic lady are just the cutest lol
We made it back safe and sound around 6 today and enjoyed all our daughter's attention after us being gone a couple days. Oh and please don't get the wrong impression that was vacation Ben + Kali, not everyday Ben + Kali. And her friends from before me and her met are just ridiculous haha
But eh what happens in Vegas...

Good to hear you all had fun
while you all were in vegas, I got my nerdy crochet on and made a lightsaber for my nephew in his favorite color and roughed out a plan for a crocheted sonic screwdriver too lol

So Im feeling a little depressed this morning. I got an email from my boss at corporate that included the following comment from him way down at the bottom of the chain. I dont think he realized he didnt edit it out. But to me, this sounds like he intends to outsource my job first chance he gets.
Lets you and I discuss this and resolve how we want to approach. This is yet another example of where a Marketing Agency would add value but to take that on right now is not in the picture. Lets talk live.

It reads to me like added "value" is not happening anytime soon. Maybe you can find out what "value" they are talking about and put it on your to-do list? And it never hurts to explore other opportunities while you are currently employed, some would say that is the best time.

Hi vsummer! I think Im going to ask his assistant about it first, we worked together closely for a long time and have a good friendship I think. In the meantime, I've decided to start getting ready. Ive always wanted to work for myself, and it dawned on me that I am the only thing stopping that from happening. So I've decided to take to a scheduled studio time every day. 2 hours from 6-8 every weekday evening, and a minimum of 6 hours each sat and sun. If I have time to talk on the phone and watch something on TV every day, I have time for this. My own work is consistently out of stock, so I guess its time to make more! Starting in a month when stock is building up, I will add in a marketing leg to it. A minimum of 30 minutes a day on website/blogging, stocking my site and facebook marketing. I also plan to speak to a minimum of 4 new retail outlets a month. If I stick to the plan, maybe I wont even need a job in 6 months or a year. Time to get to work and quit whining. LOL

Oh!! One really cool thing, because how bad our airline messed up the trip we have 800 in airfare vouchers. We get to take a trip to Hawaii using those + maybe 100 bucks later this year/early next year

I haven't danced in 3 years, I got kneecapped and it hasn't been easy even walking. Apparently a few drinks in me and I can (sort of) dance. DH was surprised I was able to and kept his eye on me in case the leg decided to fail me. It wouldn't have been the first time he had to dive to save me going down.
Yeah, those Vegas nights can get pretty crazy. Which fits right in with all the others on Freemont street
That was one fun time we had! We only came in for the day, left home at 5 am on Saturday and drove back on Sunday around 8 am so we didn't have to deal with the traffic on the 15. We are out by Edwards Air Force Base, so it only takes 3.5 hours to drive if everyone else stays out of our way.
I forget where in Cali you are, but will you be at Vaptoberfest? See, already planning the next one
