Bert is one hell of a guy but I don't think he could do all this. That Mhz batch had a very distinct style to it and I am about 98% positive Matt handled the crafting of them. The Freddy tips are harder to pick out of a lineup. My guess is that last little batch(of 8 or 10) with the donuts was all Bert.
Hmm, I thought Freddy was local and lived near Bert

Freddy lives in NC...He was here in October for our wedding though! I met Freddy in ummm...2006 or 2007. We had a mutual friend who moved out of town and we both needed studio space so we shared a space in Milwaukee. Freddy taught me a LOT of what I know about glass!

I have known Matt since high school. We met in a coffee shop I worked at. You really get to know people if you serve them coffee every day. We worked together with glass in 2005 in Minneapolis. Both these guys were my groom's men at my wedding.

Have you ever burned yourself or dropped molted glass on yourself by accident, Bert? The whole process seems scarey to me so I was curious :)

OH YEA, I burn myself all the time. Getting cut and jabbed by broken glass is also part of the territory.

Ouch! I was lucky enough to see the Venetian Glass Blowers in action and as much as I love coloured glass, watching the process was enough to scare me off for life! You need danger money Bert :)

So I was sitting in my workshop in an overly excited boyish state, pretty much giddy for various reason, some of which I won't go into so I don't look like a bigger dork then I already am, and I was vaping. My wife walked in, took my PV and took a drag, and then said "Have you told that trippy guy how much you love how his tip feels in your mouth," I nearly peed myself laughing...................

 That last line was so funny I just had to put it in the Dirty Minds thread. I just couldn't help myself it was so funny.

Hi Tipsters, Did anyone get a discount code for the mini Provari? Just going to get one.
Also Bert i did a stainglass course and loved it but could never get over the feeling of dread when cutting the glass. I actally won a competition but couldn't go on. So sad.
That's why I appreciated your lovely tips.

Did you know that if you get a burn and cover and seal so no oxygen gets in the pain goes away immediatly. Trust me I know I got first degree burns on my neck from a exploding hot coffee carafe. Waited 3 hours in emergency in agony and as soon as the Doctor covered it up and sealed it the pain was gone. I couldn't beleive it. Mind you the recovery wasn't too hot..
I gotta say molten gold sucks, molten glass must suck more. not because of the heat, but that initial contact with flesh the surface of the glass cools and shatters instantly cutting the blisters as it burns in. instead of just getting a nice thick blister scar like you do with metal. The fond memories, actually the only burn that actually hurt more then molten glass is molten plastic or rubber.

Oh and if you asked me which burn hurt the worst when it happened, it was always the one that just happened....

Have you ever caught the edge of a finger on the edge of the jet? love it love it, yea I am looking forward to this :D

Pain is part of the process.

I ended up changing my order to a full size provari. I just don't find myself using the smaller batteries as much. If I do end up using 18350's I use this. I would love to use a Trippy on it all the time but this GGTS gets dropped into my coat pocket and goes with me everywhere. I've knocked it up against walls and handrails and doors so many times. I doubt a trippy could survive and besides. I wouldn't want to risk one of my precious trippys that way.

Hey everyone, I'm honored to chime in on this thread. Before I begin to communicate with you all I want all of You! to know that I am not a supplier or in any way here to promote the product known as 'trippy tips'. I am an artist that truly enjoys the medium of glass. I have been working with glass for over 17! years. I started back then as a stained glass artist and to this day I still enjoy and promote stained glass. But...as my career has progressed I have becomed infatuated with lampworking (glassblowing) I have done all! sorts of things with lampworking. Beads, pendants, goblets, marbles, jewelry, perfume bottles....the list goes on. I know you all have been appreciating my art and really enjoying what Bert has been providing to you. I wan't to share with you who I am as a person that loves! to create things of beauty. It's been my honor to manufacture items that have reached such a broad group of people. I am also honored to promote and empower the use of electronic cigarettes. To empower people from ingesting tar and carcinogens...what! a blessing is that to me. So, here I am as an artist, as a person many of you have met and yet don't know. I would love to share bits of my passions, musing and thoughts with you....but! please, DO NOT ask me to promote or represent a product that my good friend Bert is here to speak off, that's his job and according to the forum rules I can not and will not act on behalf of my friend Bert's items. I am only here to share with you all who I am, and what I love in my life glass ART.

yours truly,

Freddy :2cool:
