Oh, Bert, what a perfectly lovely 'get well soon' gift for Vintage and her hand. You are such a thoughtful person.

Ya'll know I'm the quiet sort and kind of a loner/lurker but I follow each and every one of you on this thread and am constantly uplifted by the kindness and sense of a true, caring community.

Anyway, looking forward to the sale (hope it's Tuesday for my own selfish scheduling). Would really like to add to my own ever-so-lovely but ever-so-small collection. Wish I was going to Chicago to meet and greet and buy and raise a glass but it's not in the cards for me this time.

I've never had Girl Scout cookies either Vintage, but they sure seem popular in America. You will find the Scouts walking through neighborhoods and in front of markets selling the cookies. Newspaper articles bolster the cause as do the nightly news shows. Guess I've been missing out, neglecting the opportunities to purchase the sugar biscuits presented to me. Let me know how you find them

Thank you for all the good wishes. Today I spent some time at the Battery Factory learning about all things battery related. I came away with some definates for me.
NO MORE CARRYING UNPROTECTED BATTERIES. I am only going to have protected batteries from now on (PCM Protected Li-ion) the guy told me that many batteries have exploded in cars and bags due to heat variations in the weather that sets them off. I was sooo clueless about all this.
I have also got a protected charger now specific to Australian standards.
One of the batteries I got today was quite expensive but he said it's well worth the extra $. It is a 3.6V 3100mAh. So it lasts a lot longer in my Provari.
He is also ordering some smaller ones for me that are protected that he didn't have in stock. He told me a lot of problems are in the smaller battery in fact he looked at mine and said they were highly dangerous.
So I am hopefully going to be safer to be around.
