Sorry I've been MIA all week: first week of class is always crazy!
Finally got my tip in yesterday. It's a beaut! I'll get pics ASAP.
Since coffee's been the theme this week, I have to admit we don't seem to carry Cafe Boetelo (sorry for the spelling, lol). I've been meaning to try a press; I currently use a drip machine that grinds the beans and filters the water. I'm a huge fan of Community coffee (Dark Roast of course). It's one of our local companies. I remember when I first moved here. One morning I was leaving my apartment in the Quarter and I smelt smoke! I started freaking out, as the Quarter had burnt down twice over the years. My neighbor laughed at me, saying that it's just Community roasting their beans. The plant's not really that close, but when the wind blows in the right direction, you can smell it all through the Quarter.
I finally broke down yesterday and bought a smart Blu-ray player. Now I can enjoy Midsomer Murders, The Walking Dead, etc. on my TV rather than my PC. Woohoo!
Well the madness starts here tonight. Labor day weekend, aka Southern Decadence. 100,000 + gay men filling the Quarter! I'll probably pop down at some point, though I'll definitely keep my clothes on, unlike many.

Beautiful spring day today.
I think I will take my little client today to McDonalds as a treat. Great play area and he loves "McHappy Meal" and toy to top it off.
The family can't afford outings so he sees it as a special treat. I just love to see a smile on his face. Three years ago when I first got him he used to sit in a corner and rock, non verbal and very angry. He is such a different child now happy and I can't shut him up. I love my work.
