I just wanted to drop in and post another picture for you all! These are the 'Clean tanks' I am making right now. With a TrippyTip on top it is vaping bliss!

Very cool, Bert :) I take it the fit of the carto is good? (yeah, that's a dumb question, I know you strive for perfection ;-) ) That was my one gripe about the original "clean tanks", that they were waaaaaay too tight

Happy long weekend, all! I've gotta work a few hours tomorrow morning, but not enough to mess up my Saturday, then it's time to bring on the lazy lounging :D

Hey KJ :)
It is soooooooo not a dumb question Killjoy! -- Carto fit is something I had no idea about when I started purchasing tanks... now I know what a pain a tight fitting carto tank can be and being able to remove and replace cartos smoothly is definitely a feature to look for in any future tanks I purchase. :toast:

WOW Bert... That is too cool... love the scallops ???, it makes it look very high end.

Thanks Nick! That is the first of many trippy twists I plan on putting on these tanks!

I am experimenting with different tightness levels right now. The first one I posted a picture of got stuck... I mean STUCK! I am working on making it as loose as I can with no leaks.

Evening Trippykin,

BERT!

 The first time you posted the pic I wasn't sure what you were referring to! I thought you were showing us your sweet setup.

I love the clean tank look! :toast:

How big is the tank? 22mm? I'm partial to 19mm myself :D

These ones are 35mm, but 19mm is not out of the question by any means.

Hi Kat! Great to see you! Thank you for the compliment!

It's very important for me to know what is important to you all! Size, design, and fit have all been playing the most important roles so far. Please keep the suggestions coming!

i like a tighter fitting tank myself but not so tight as to get stuck. ive had a couple that were too loose for my liking like the siam tank... do you still have that one renee? it never leaked but was very slidey. the tank i use for my provari most of the last year or so has been a prive. ive not had many problems with them but they can get cracks i think up around the orings which may of been my problem when i was complaining about leaking and i never knew it. the prive i like because its a perfect match for the provari and the circumference is the same. on my dz nutz dna20 i use a cirrus currently. its bigger around but i dont mind on that mod.

Just stopping by to say "Hi ya'll". Been a really busy summer, rarely have time to get on the computer any. There's no way I'd ever catch up from when I left off (don't even remember last time I was on). Hope everyone is having a great summer. Will stop back in sometime in Sept when things (hopefully) slow down some. Think of you all often.

Mornin all. Happy Labor Day weekend!
Bert! Those tanks are AWESOME! Personally, I prefer a looser fit. I have a devil of a time with my Trap and Prive tanks. And I agree Mike: those tubes crack too easily. I'm talking with the folks at IBT to make me replacement tubes. Bert, is it really 35mm? I've got 19, 22 and 25, but I don't think I've ever seen a 35.

The non-scalloped (Thanks for the term Nick!) One-piece tanks will be flush with the provari as well :) Thanks for the input on the looseness!

there are some new TTs on vaporleaf; hope everyone has a good weekend!

FRESH MEAT! LOL :D

We will continue to miss you Willow! Try not to work too hard, and I will be sending slow/smooth sailing vibes out for you!

QUESTION: What is your method to know you have found the perfect fit for the tightness of your tank?

I will be reading your comments as I photograph some brand new DHC TrippyTips today!

Bert, I use carto tools for installing/refilling my tanks, mostly the Slap Yo Mama. The perfect fit for me is where it's loose enough that I can slide the carto in easily, but tight enough where I can remove the carto tool w/o having to mount it on my mod and w/o it pulling the carto through. This is especially true when I change carto's; I use the tool to break the seal on the old carto, then take it off and put in the new carto and slide the new one on while sliding the old one off. I can do this easily on my Phiniac and IBT tanks, but I"ve never managed it on my Prive and Trap tanks.

^^ this. It seems to be a really fine line between too tight and too loose, though, and the fit always changes slightly one way or the other when I replace o-rings. As long as I can get the carto in and out and can still install/remove my drip tips without worrying too much about pulling the carto out by accident I'm good :)

Good Day Trippykin

2H3rb7b.jpg

Hope all are enjoying the day! :)

Bert -

I love a slidey but not leaky tank -- I had no way of knowing beforehand whether a tank would be slidey or not  It would be nice if tank ads had a slidey meter  But I've been lucky I guess, save for the most expensive one which is the most difficult! :glare:

I know if a tank is easy to deal with if I can push the tank up the cartomizer from the bottom cap using my thumb and a little pressure! :D

I refill my tank 2 or sometimes 3x a day. I insert a slap your mama tank tool onto the cartomizer and push the bottom cap up with my thumb up to halfway up the cartomizer. I then refill the tank with a needle bottle, slide back down by pressing the top cap, remove tank tool, replace my Trippy Tip and vape on :D

DHC Tips! :w00t: Bring it Bert! :D

Reidus,

DH suggests that you might be better off connecting directly to the router with your ethernet cable or maybe the router needs a reboot.

Good luck! :)

thanks, Del. I tried re-booting and it didn't help. Unfortunately, my tv's at the opposite end of the house from the router. I don't know if 1) they even make ethernet cables that long; and 2) how the heck I'd get it there anyway, lol. My router's over a year old. I guess I need to buy a new one.

awww shoot!

Well, like Mike says (waves at Mike :D) they do make long cables...

OR...

DH says a Wireless Bridge might help... it extends the signal from your router up to half way closer so that may help in getting the signal to your TV wirelessly.

DH also says if you do go with a Wireless Bridge, go with the brand that is the same as your router... for example, if you have a Linksys router, get a Linksys wireless bridge:

Buy Linksys RE2000 Wireless Extender | Free Shipping

I hope it works out for you real soon. :)

PS -- DH says your router is not old ;) The cheapest solution would be the cable -- he recommends Monoprice.com for the ethernet cable:

100 feet for $12.78
