:( Damselle, I know what you mean. We had 2 vaping get togethers this weekend within 30 minutes of me-and due to work, me no go :(. Spent an hour and a half showing the condo and then filling out applications and such. Then another trip back so they could take measurements to make sure their furniture would fit. Then we felt the need to show another tenants unit (same style and layout) so they could see what one looked like furnished. On the high note-we rented another unit, on to the next!

Stay warm!

Thanks Sun! We are OK in Denver, but our server is a few states over (in MN). Dan said they were luckily unaffected by the severe weather, but the power went out for a bit. I hope everyone else dwelling in these storms paths stays safe and warm. The destruction looks incredibly bad on the news!

Good Morning Tripsters,
Well the Tornados went North of us about 25 miles and left us without a scratch. Poor folks North of us definitely had some substantial damage. Mom, the Mrs. and I sat through about 2 hours with the Tornado Sirens blaring a 1/2 mile away while we kept our eye on the weather radar and listened to the Weatherman's play by play. They can call it by the minute and square block with the technologies they've deployed here in Tornado alley so we all knew exactly what to expect.

I broke out the "Tornado Tonic" ("chilled" Dr. McGillicuddy's Menthol-mint Schnapps) to ease Mom's anxiety and tried to convince her that all was safe. If we don't bring her over and calm her nerves, she'll sit in her pantry all night fearful that any Tornado in the state will somehow make a bee-line in our direction. Things blew over, we had a nice dinner together and Mom went back to her side of the house knowing everything was going to be okay. She has no idea what's in the Tornado Tonic but she says it does calm her nerves....although she says the first sip is a bit eye-opening  Dementia can have it's comical moments!

We started the Tornado Tonic tradition when she and Dad moved back from Florida after having several Twisters come through our area that year. Dad said he couldn't calm her down so we had them come by our house and the Doctor worked his magic. I don't give her enough to really matter (maybe 2oz. neat @ 48 proof) but it works like a champ every time!

I hope you all fared as well as us and are having a good Monday. I send my best to everyone in Trippyville. Brew
