Howdy Tripsters,
I hope everyone is well and getting through the typical hump day. Mrs. Brew and I are busily getting the last odds-n-ends tidied up before this storm front gets here. I just got my little billy goat serviced and he's ready to go so Mother Nature is free to BRING IT ON!
Mrs. Brew and I spent yesterday getting some of the spruce trees (6 of them) in the front yard decorated and I am truly glad that is over! She used to try to do it all by herself but I made her let me assist this year since I explained to her that this will be the last time we do the exterior decorating ourselves. The trees have gotten so big in the past 4 years that we now have to tip the ladder in so my wife can attach her ornaments at the top. We also have to wrap lights from top to bottom on 4 of them and I told her that I needed to be present even if only to be the one who dials 9-1-1. Here are some pics.
That is a 10' ladder that has to be leaned in to overcome the 3-4' radius of the base of the tree. My litte decorating diva is perch up high preparing for me to get to the ladder work.

The image below is the next tallest tree with her 8' ladder and she usually did this by herself while standing on the top platform (not step) to lean in and tie on the bow.

I took these and other pictures for my wife's sake to let her show off what she "used to do" as I'm having this work hired out next year. There is a local company that utilizes a cherry-picker and offers great deals on commercial lighting. Meaning we won't have to replace half of our lighting strands every year after purchasing the cheap-stuff from our local hardware store. I even heard we might be able to simply rent what we need from them. In any event, this effort is nothing compared to what she does inside our home. Anything I can get off her plate will make our lives easier and simply allow her do more inside
. Either way I'm getting too old for this stuff. Brew
