{{{Oh Sweet Delilah}}}, I am so sorry to hear about your Mom. My prayers and positive thoughts are beaming your way. Just recently celebrated 82 years with our Mom and she wasn't going short on her Bourbon & Diet Cokes! She has her ups and downs but when she has a good day she's a pistol to say the least. I only hope I'm half as fun when I'm her age. Brew

I've had good news and bad news...
Good News:
We celebrated my mom-in-law's 90th last week! I love her to pieces and wish she had 90 more coming!
Bad News:
Learned this weekend that my birth mother is in a coma but there was no explanation how it happened. Stunning news to say the least. Please join me in praying for her recovery. Thank you.

Have y'all been watching what's going on in ATL? It's a huge mess: children having to sleep at schools cause the buses can't get them home, people abandoning cars on the roads and walking, etc. Luckily, my nephew's company let him go at noon, so he got out before the madness. It's not so bad here; cold as hell (31 degrees with a wind chill of 18), but the city pretty much closed down all day today.

It's unfortunate that I have to make the distinction between mom and bio-mom.
A mom to me is the one who raises you, takes care of you and loves you your whole life... whereas a bio-mom gives birth to you and that's it. Well, I've figured out why people wear those ugly hats with the ear flaps and chin straps. My ears are freezing from walking Sophie and I had to chase my hat when it blew off this morning! It's even too cold for Sophie! As soon as she did her business she was hauling .... back to the house, lol. And she was wearing her pink coat at the time.

Well I just talked to Tara. Atlanta is still in gridlock, with the same cars stuck in traffic since 4:00 PM YESTERDAY!

15 degrees Fahrenheit here, but a sunny and bright day. Warm hugs for Reidus and Sofie! As furry as my doggie girls are, I worry about them in this cold weather. Like Sofie, they want to high tail it home as soon as they've done their business!
They react to the salt on the sidewalks, stopping to give relief to this paw or the other, but won't keep booties on to save their lives! 
We found a tip online to put Vaseline on their paws which is working nicely. 
Some exciting news - We're expecting delivery of a 3D TV today!
Can't wait to see my first 3D movie at home!

I saw some Atlanta news video -- the wrecks that were caught on tape were practically simultaneous! It's amazing how a few inches of snow can make a 3 or 5 thousand pound vehicle slide involuntarily!

Delilah, I think the problem they're having is that it's snow on top of ice. Did you see the video of people getting out of their cars to push the ambulance that was stuck spinning on the ice? As for me, we're supposed to get to 40 today, but I'm not planning on leaving the house. Tara said they're not going be getting up to freezing until tomorrow though. I'm so glad to be in NO, rather than ATL!

I have two of them. They're more common up here, but I generally avoid them since I still feel like a dork wearing one
