Oh Bert .... these are gorgeous!

Are the solid sparkly ones towards the top silver? Gold?
What about this one? Is that gold in it?

Oh ... and are the red ones short for Brutus? :)

It is sparkly grey/silver in that tip, and the red ones are a little shorter. I've been trying to keep the camera at the same distance and zoom, and cropping at a fixed size so that the tips are displayed relatively proportional to each other in the pictures.

I hate to be a bother but a n00b has to ask ?'s in order not to be a n00b anymore. Right? I've been eyeballing these tips for awhile now and don't quite get the ordering procedure. Any vets out there that can clear things up for me? Thanks again for all the help.

Sign up for "Tipped Off" at the website. Then stalk your email. When the email comes, haul ... over to the site and buy one.

*NOTE* sometimes they aren't up just yet. In that case you would then stalk the site

Check under "Currently Available". Generally they will be sold as mystery tips, if you have some specific ones in mind be sure to name those in the comments field of your order.

It would be best to be signed in to your account on the website ahead of time to speed up the process, payment is made through paypal so make sure that account is in order as well.

They sell fast!

^^^^ This is and "Inside Out" Frit design. Inside out means that the outside is all clear glass, and the color is applied to the inside of the tube before it is sculpted. The effect allows the clear glass on the outside to become a lens. If you want to see something cool try submersing an inside out design like this in a glass of water to negate the lens effect.

^^^^ This is an inside out implosion. An implosion means that the glass is blown up like a balloon before clear is applied to the outside. This pushes the color out of the way when the bubble is deflated and sculpted making that nice honeycomb (or the brain twist) effect.

case - Bert normally swings by here also to give us "hints" of when they might go up. :)

Bert, I have one of the yellow dichor-whatever you said ones. It is really gorgeous, but not a pillar .... it's one of the platypus-topped ones. Anyway, I'm gonna use it on my "Goldie" when she gets here, and I'll post a pic.
