yeah i just found abou trippy tips about a week or so ago and i got 2 on my first try..... all i did was keep an eye on this thread and ask questions everyone was VERY helpful.... and i would like to say thanks again for all your hard work Bert!!! much appreciated!!! I WILL buy MORE!!!! :D

Yup :D If you want something nice, you have to work for it sometimes and not even too hard on occasion. It's not gonna help anyone to storm off and have a fit about it, especially when some members have been so gracious to offer assistance in obtaining a tip... Yea, I was that guy and I said it  Someone had to

Thats sweet but I promised myself I would never buy one after going through a few times of this it's just to frustrating. I so do not understand not simply having a waiting list plus the site makes no sense and half the time I cant even figure out where I am supposed to be looking..just done.
glad others are happy w/the company/supplier . But not for me.

I'm sorry you feel that way too Kenzi. I tried to help with the info I gave here and on my response to your question on my blog and email, and I'm sorry it didn't help you, but like I said, there is some checking back to this thread to keep updated on when the tipped off newsletter is coming, when the sale will be, etc. Bert keeps us updated quite frequently. He does an excellent job of making these and sharing them with all of us. Like Davelog said, handcrafted items = limited. These are all handmade pieces of functional art. I'm grateful that he uses his talents/skills to make these available to all of us. It takes us far less time and effort to check the thread every so often and buy them than it does for him to make each one, photograph them, update the website for purchasing, send them all out, etc. Yes, it still takes us some effort, but if you really want something isn't it worth a little effort? With a waiting list you get people who can't buy right now, who get skipped over because they haven't check their messages in a while, who don't want what's available at the moment, long wait times for new people, and it just gets to be a bigger hassle to keep track of it all. The way Bert does it works fine. It gives everyone a chance to get one at every sale, whether it be someone that just found this thread that day or someone who's been around a while. Would you really be happy to find something you really want and then get put on a waiting list that says you'll be waiting at least 6 months? I sure wouldn't, but I've seen it done that way. I would much rather be able to get in on a current sale.

Bert, THANK YOU for everything you do for us. I'm very happy with every Trippy Tip I have bought! And you can expect me to hang out here and buy more, probably many more LOL

Wow, reading these responses makes me feel really good. Thanks everyone for being willing to help out people who have questions, or problems acquiring a tip! I really appreciate all of the selfless actions and posts I see going on in here. I also understand the frustrations expressed by Kenzi and so I am making a tutorial to explain how things currently work. Once I have a draft I will be open to suggestions/additional information that you all think would be helpful.

Kenzi,
If you are still around the thread I would like you to know that I have tried doing a waiting list in the past and that most of the reason that things are the way they are is due to suggestions from people in this thread. The problem with waiting lists is that they become long and unruly, the person who is up either can't choose a tip (they must take whatever tip I have available) or might not be paying attention/have money when it is their turn to pick a TrippyTip. I do appreciate your feedback! I think that you can see that people here will vouch that I do take all suggestions to heart and do what I think is best. Hopefully you will have a change of heart about the TrippyTips, and hopefully I can make it much easier for everyone to acquire one in the near future. Until then, take care!
~Bert

I am not sure about "the tab over to ECF" part ..... can you put the tips in your cart while they still read "Out of Stock"? I think you have to refresh till the Mystery Tip selector says they are in stock, THEN do the drop down.
I am reading that right on the instructions?
You can put them in your cart before they are in stock...I'm not sure if they will be removed when the tips go in stock. I can't imagine why they would...did anyone try this last round?

I belive that I tried it but it emptied my cart when they went back in stock. I remember that they were on there for a minute or two before it showed a stock number.
