Bill, they all have broken at an angle, not a straight break. I don't know what the deal is, or if that means anything. The one that just broke wasn't a tight fit, it was a smaller ring so the tip wasn't hard to pull out at all. Pulled the tip out, and the bottom ring just sprang off.
It HAS to be a heat thing .....

Kami - no idea .... Bert sent some "regular" sized ones, and some smaller ones. I don't know how "thick" they are.
I may go down to the hardware store and just look at their's a bit.

Could it be the juices? I have only had 3-5 o-rings break on me in 2 years. That does not include the 004 o-rings-those break all the time!

Hz - I use mostly TVR juices ... nothing special or considered "extreme" like Cinnacide or anything. LOL
And as far as I remember, it has been 3 different juices .... today was Blue Cotton Candy in the tank and o-rings I had just put on for my Provari picture.

Matter of fact I put the ring on new about 2.5 hrs ago ....

I would think the angle would be from the carto top cutting into the o-ring as you pull it out and out it in. The first thing I can think of is to quit with all the in and out crap-LOL

Ok I forgot to mention the different type of materials that you can get in orings...LOL..sorry
Low Heat like 200 degrees Fahrenheit or High Heat like 400 degrees Fahrenheit takes special types of materials...I'll get the tech terms later.

these are low heat like -20F to 250F

Something call FKM Viton...
these are high heat like -20F to 400F

both are black and both come in any size under the rainbow

the wind is starting to pick here in southern california now to and the clouds are rolling in guessing we are in for a very wet weekend , i love the rain but hate driving in it . Glad your home safe
