well you can ask me to add something for you or you can be one of the people that edits. everyone liked the idea, but no one volunteered to help lol

De and MWA - I am looking at the reflected light coming up the front on both sides, and it doesn't show any breaks ..... it looks smooth. Maybe the color was laminated under a clear overlay, and the clear doesn't show so well.
that just looks like a shadow from the light to me, looking at the sides of it there is clearly a seem, it also goes all across the front, except where the light is blocking it Blue = How I see it,,, I've been wrong before but my eyes see that. The lines of the colors also dont line up looking at them,,, it's just how I see it, like I said I could easily be wrong,, I'll let ya know when the mailman drops it off soon

I think there is just a darker area of the glass around the seam that's why it looks that way. I'm not a glass blower and don't know the terms but I would think the glass has to be hot in the area to fuse the piece on and it just was darker glass around that section of the tip.

maybe there is an o-ring hidden in there holding on the top... though I still don't know why that piece would need to come off.
