I dont see why a fuse would ever be done there, it's always one piece, I also dont see Bert putting a Donut up that beautiful that was pieced together, he's better then this :) and gets em done without any seems :) or fuses, there 1 piece so, unless it's something else, not sure but I see 2 pieces still,,,, maybe the Glass extraordinaire will let us all know when he sees the post, Dam he's good !!!

It seemed he started fusing all of them to create a rounder donut...I've only seen a few come through that weren't fused and they were somewhat narrow looking

jdubious ,, none of the ones I have seem to be pieced together, even the very round ones, there is different colors added at those spots but still one piece of glass Bead.

I really think it has to be 1 piece .... the light wouldn't reflect like this if there was a seam .... in these 2 areas I circled. (looks like "Mr Donut has glasses) LOL

It's not detachable, dude..... Why would he do that? what purpose would it serve? Aside from helping you lose a portion of your donut by accident lol

It's also a donut that Freddy made, I don't think he was attempting anything new with them.... He went by the book so I doubt that top is detachable lol

MWA - those are light reflections from the lights Bert is using .... they are reflecting off the surface of the tip .... a smooth surface, like light reflecting off glass or water. If there was a seam, those reflections would be broken since the glass would not be smooth there ..... It may be a seam, but I am just going off the light reflections ...
