freddy, can you describe reversal?

It's a misnomer really. A "reversal" is a slang technical term describing linework art glass that has had the linear axis turned most of the time 180 degrees. The term "reversal" has stuck in our flameworking community. It's ironic, because if you were to reverse a linear axis the lines would still be going the same way. It's an opposed axis linework art glass to be more precise.

Oh no that is so sad. It is never easy when you have to make that choice it is heart breaking.
Just got a call that they had to put my mom's dog down. She's been in the nursing home and has been so upset to be away from her too. Im kind of heartbroken now. I was having such a good morning too. Got my z atty, a scroll saw and scored three great trippys yesterday. Even that doesn't seem to make me feel better right now. My poor mom...

I forgot to let you guys know my grandson Dallas got the screws taken out of his jaw yesterday. Bless his heart still on soft food and still losing weight but the pain is now manageable with over the counter pain meds.

Hard to believe that was a month ago. Life can change forever in JUST 1 second

This is great news!!! He is moving along now...

I'm so sorry Amber.... Pets play a very important role in the life of the elderly and I feel so bad that you are going to have to tell your mom that she's gone... Your mom is going to miss that love, those snuggles... is there a group in your town that does pet visitation after a while when your mother feels up to it? Nothing can cheer someone up after a loss like this as well as a little puppy or kitten.... My condolences....

Amber, if you decide the 3rd one isn't for you, please contact me, I was unable to even get on the site last night to try for it, I would be more than willing to buy or trade you for it. Last nights sale was crazy busy!!! Thanks, Jeni

Well they are all spoken for except # 1-- that was my first choice so I would like to call dibs on that if you ever want to trade for something (donut?) or sell it....

Here's some of the "reversals" I made for the last batch of Trippy Tips. They are all little spheres of manipulated linework smaller than a nickel!

Those are cool freddy. I love the one in the lower left corner -- look sorta like a trippy light bulb!

I'm back! That damn Petsmart -- they don't care about animals at all -- just having a good adoption quota. I got there to be told, "We already cleaned." Yeah, right. Litter boxes with at least two days of poop, nasty drinking water where they just topped it off rather than dump it, wipe out the bowl, and refill with clean. Dirty bedding, dirty everything! They burn me up. I wish our rescue wouldn't show animals there anymore....

Hi Freddy, I kinda understood what you said and then called my nephew, who is a glass blower in your area (Cullowhee,Sylva), to explain it further. I completely understood what he said, but would have no way to repeating it. Great work you guys are doing.:)

Hey you guys should make us some Christmas ornaments. 1 per registered person would be awesome.

Not for free of course.

That! would be fun. Every holiday I make up a small round of ornaments. I haven't actually sold any, they have always been gifts. Last year was the first year I attempted a "witches ball" ornament. They were traditionally made to "ward off spirits" while at sea. look them up, they are coooooool! I made 8 of them.

My current main flameworking inspiration is Roger Parramore. I am blessed to live in the same community as him. He's a master artisan and scientific flameworker. He makes amazing ornaments that have a very traditional Italian feel to it.

I'd say we would make some awesome ornaments for you all...gonna bring that up again when Sept/October rolls around :D

Oh! Cool, I wonder if your Nephew goes to the Jackson energy park over there. They have an offhand "hot shot" for glassblowing that runs on methane from an old dump!!!

Putting her down really wasn't a choice. She was going so fast that she wouldn't have made it through the morning on her own, so we might as well have stopped her pain as soon as we could. I just wish I wasn't stuck at work. I know mom isn't doing well right now. That's the part that hurts me. I wasn't close to the dog. She was sweet and I am a little sad at her passing, but knowing the pain mom must feel right now is what makes me want to curl up in the fetal position in the bathroom.
