Amber - It's hard to see your wraps ... but your bottom 3 (?) are lighting up like a Christmas tree while your top is dark ...
I would try re-wrapping that, and try pulling your wick up a bit so you can go straight from the wick to the post at 90 degrees. A straightened out paper-clip will help a TON, and keeps your wick nice and straight while you wrap. Just shove it down the middle.
If you are gonna re-wrap, you could straighten your wick and burn/quench again also to get it nice a stiff, then burn some juice on it again a couple times.

I use the ohms law app with raw voltage since the only VV device I have is my VV Reo and the drop isn't enough to worry about

I'll work on it tomorrow and see how it goes! I decided to play with the way I'm holding it and it helps a little. I was doing a straight 90 degree out with the hole pointed at the floor, but it's not as bad at 4 o clock with the hole turned just barely to the side.
Amber, also if you use a small screw-driver and get the top and bottom to go directly to the posts, it helps alleviate the common shorts there by keeping the coil close to the wick ....

FYI I have had two of his mods....one was a .308 and the other a .50 I believe. Those things are pieces of crap. The threads looked like they were cut with a hammer, one was so bad I couldn't even thread on a carto. I bought it new, never used it one time and am stuck with it.

No need to lie....I really liked the looks of them myself. After I got the .308 and thought I needed an adapter to thread on the atty, I noticed a bunch of bad review on the iken site. People complaining about every aspect of the mod and about how the guy that makes them wont warranty them in any way
K, coil is straight from the wick to the posts and which is straight. Top coil looks to be lighting up evenly. Seems to taste good so far! I will know if that was my problem by lunch tomorrow. Thanks Blu!
Amber - no problems .... you can fiddle the coils around a bit so they are evenly spaced, etc.
The more you do the easier it gets, once you get a really good one though, LEAVE IT ..... you can fiddle a good coil to death.
