Art Glass Drip Tips

Bert did mention the other day that he didn't have enough tips for a sale this weekend. I believe he said something about this week sometime but nothing definite.
Hey guys, I've had something on my mind for a couple days and just wanted to put it out there.
I know that I've heard a little grumbling about some of the pricing that Dragonfly has placed on some of the Trippy Tips on their site. I just wanted to put my thoughts on the matter out there.
When Bert does a sale on the Trippy Tip site, usually tips are somewhere between $25-$30 per tip. As Dragonfly is not the original creator of the tips, it stands to reason that there is going to be a slight increase in the pricing on the tips. They are a business after all, and they obviously need to make some profit in order to stay in business. Is ten dollars more too much? When you consider the time it takes to post and sell the tips, it's really not, in my opinion.
Consider this. On sale night, many of us spend hours in front of our computer, hitting F5 over and over again, waiting for those babies to post. Consider that even if you only did that for a little over an hour and your time is only worth minimum wage, you've still spent that $10 in your time, even if it doesn't come out of your wallet. You are also getting the convenience of purchasing your tips at your leisure to some degree with the other vendor sites, instead of the commotion and sometimes frustration of a normal Trippy sale. (don't get me wrong, I love Trippy sale nights)
I kind of look at it as going to the corner gas station to buy my Diet Coke. Sometimes I'm willing to pay a little more just because it's easier to get to the convienience store than the grocery store. I'm willing to pay a little more because it saves me time.
When you consider that we are purchasing original, unique, and one of a kind pieces of art, we're still getting a great deal. And I've got to be honest, if I were a vendor, I would want to be making some profit on the products I'm selling. That's just common sense.
I'm not one to rock the boat. In fact, I thought long and hard before deciding to post this. I will tell you that I've been working on a fundraising project for someone in the vaping community and have literally contacted over 100 vendors. A small number have responded and offered to donate. Dragonfly was one of those companies, so in my opinion, that makes them good folks.
I adore each and every one of my fellow Tripsters, I just felt like I needed to put my two cents in about Dragonfly. I'm just offering a different perspective. And as a wise man once said, if you don't like it, you as a consumer can speak with your wallet and choose not to purchase from them, but I honestly don't feel like they are being unreasonable.

I think their prices are perfectly reasonable, particularly now that you can choose the exact tip you want. If I weren't holding out my trippy money for a donut they have a few I wouldn't mind snagging

I agree with everything you said. The entire reason we started selling to vendors is to make life easier for people. More than a few people offered to pay me double to send them a TrippyTip because they didn't want to deal with the rush of sale night. I didn't once take someone up on that, but selling to vendors was the solution we came up with as a community. Of course if there are more ways to make life easier for you I am all ears. Custom ordering is about to be available to everyone for example. I love this group of people, and I am here to serve this community as an artist so please, never hesitate to throw out suggestions.

I'm excited for the custom ordering, although when it goes live, a big part of me just wants to say surprise me in blues, greens, and purples, because you guys are wayyy more creative than me.
