Wife had them and they use ultrasonic waves shot through your side to smash them into bits small enough to more easily pass. They typically do one side/kidney at a time allowing a month in between to heal from the previous session. So sorry you have to deal this Willow. Just hope you get over this soon with the aid of some frickin Vicoden. Brew

Oh no! I am sorry you are going through that! Can't they blast them apart with a laser to make them easier to pass? I haven't gone through the whole kidney stone thing, but Beata has and I had to bring her to the hospital because the pain was so severe. Hang in there!
