I've lurked in the 500 mesh thread a good bit for info. From my understanding, it outwicks anything out there big time. There was a video of a guy with a PV standing vertical and doing a burn for over a minute, and it never went dry.

@willowwize - you can get a torch at any Lowes or Home Depot for cheap. I prefer this one, as it has a built in igniter, and the stand so you can use it hands free if you wish.

Depending on what pg/vg ratio to what mesh I use. I like the 400 most with my 70/30. I rarely use other ratios anymore. To much vg makes me have to clear the throat to much.

I like the looks of shop BernzOmatic Soldering Torch Head at Lowes.com. May have to put that in the budget for next month.

That's where I got mine ... not 100% sure it's the same one, but it wasn't much.
Hence, the offer to give it to willow.

BTW, I received my tank from IBT. It's huge! I got the 25mm diameter XL tank, and it apparently holds 8ml of juice. It looks pretty good with my new fat bottom trippy and it's glass, which is my preferred tank material.

Nope Blue I haven't tried the 500. I'm happy with 400 and 325 so far. What have you heard about the 500?

I need to get me a torch. I was using one of the old camping torches and it messed up. I'm hoping to get one off of zen's site.

also if you have a harbor freight near you, they sell the Benz-O-matc ones that stand up and have built in igniter for around $9, lol the only things they are BRIGHT ORANGE so you will never lose it I like the stand up one cuz i can just fire it up and hold my mesh with pliers and oxidize the .... out of it

Willow - I have a little Benz-O-Matic pen torch thing you can have if you want ... I bought it but never opened it. I use my gas stove. LOL

I heard a real tight packed wick of 500 mesh, start with a really long piece, like 40mm, wick like the dickens. You don't even make a hole in the middle, more like a solid wick. I tried it with 400, and it works well, but it's supposed to be WAY better with the 500.

i have never tried the 500 or 400 lol my 325 wicks so well never had a reason too, i use a 2.5 inch wide piece and roll it without a hole in the middle. i was trying to do a dry burn lastnight to clean my coils off and i couldnt lol it wicks standing straight up
