also if you have a harbor freight near you, they sell the Benz-O-matc ones that stand up and have built in igniter for around $9, lol the only things they are BRIGHT ORANGE so you will never lose it :) I like the stand up one cuz i can just fire it up and hold my mesh with pliers and oxidize the .... out of it :)

i have never tried the 500 or 400 lol my 325 wicks so well never had a reason too, i use a 2.5 inch wide piece and roll it without a hole in the middle. i was trying to do a dry burn lastnight to clean my coils off and i couldnt lol it wicks standing straight up :)

I should look into one of those. The torch I have literally disintegrates my mesh in less than a second.

I don't know who "Trippy Tip Collectors" is but they just made a very generous donation to Jennifer's fund. Whoot! :toast: It can't be Bert because he has already donated a whole bunch of Trippys so there is a secret Tripster out there that I want to thank very much. I just wish I knew who it was. Oh well....thank you, thank you, thank you. :D

It's the honor of us at Trippy Tips to support a peer in need. My best wishes and prayers go out to Jen.

There will be some special helix donuts available for sale at trippytips.com in support of Moorea's cancer fund. They are pink helix's and the last helix donuts I have made so far :)

Thank you Freddy. This fund raiser will be over soon and forgotten by most but what you people at Trippy Tips and your followers have done won't be forgotten. You all have made a lasting impression with me and I think I can safely say with Kath and Jen's family also. :toast:

Freddy, i liked the work you posted up last night.

Thanks Weinner, and everyone. I am so happy making these pieces, It's not about the time or costs or pride to me, Its about the joy we bring. It's a joy we share, it's a love for art glass, for healthy choices in lifestyle, for quality and service.

Your donut for example, I made that art glass with some of my most favorite individual colors. I asked one of my students to select and arrange a design for to me make, and I made it in front of him. We shared about a year together, he's an avid fisherman that had some of the best ingrained fishing knowledge a 20 year old southern born could hold. We canoed often late in the day after work and fished. Bert and Beata named that art glass "night fishing" without ever knowing the story behind it. That's the joy we aim to share, my friend :D

I found my stash of nichrome wire while sorting and packing. It's mostly a thicker gauge (I use it for glass kilns) than what is used on rebuildables. But I did find this sample sheet with some 30 to 44 nichrome wire! I'm getting my ERA shipped to Scottsdale, AZ....and immediately doing the RnD with Pietro when I'm back west :D

Good morning, Reidus. I'm doing some quick drafts for you this morning. :2cool:

and for those interested in caps for the ihybrid, I am dedicating some time today in doing artists studies of art glass caps for the ihybrid. It's gonna be a three shift day for me :D

Thanks, Freddy. Can't wait to see what you've come up with. :D

the Orb is out of the kiln now (after 48 hours of cooling down) Here's the back of it
