here's the progress on Reidus' piece. I have now added the "ring" of the fleur de lis. I incorporated the dark sparkle green in to the ring....I must say it's loooooking goood

LMAO. Dream on Wharf. All I've got figured out at this point is that it needs a tank. I haven't decided between a Phiniac, IBT or a colored Vivi Nova, though I'm leaning against the Vivi. I think it's going to be too large (2x2) to look right on a Vivi.

I have a friend that looked so offended and appalled when I said I was going to order one of those from HF. He said, and I am quoting here without the tirade of curse words, "NO! Those are the most worthless pieces of crap ever, you'll be buying a new one every few months because 1st the ignition goes out and then it just dies completely." So apparently he's had a bad experience with them. Just thought I'd share that.

well they are cheap lol you get what you pay for but using it just for oxidizing one a month or so it should last you atleast a year, but i also have this torch which ive had for 3 years but its $30

Wow! I would have never considered that! I'll wait and see how the wings look. (They're not really wings. I'm just not sure what to call the side pieces of a fleur-de-lis).

yeah i want to see what the the whole tip looks like and then we can play match that mod

but i think dark wood mod or the right med/light wood mod would look great with it !!!

You might be right. I'll wait for the finished product. I doubt I'll ever leave the house with it though. I'd cry if something happened to it, and the sides are bound to be a bit fragile.
BTW, Hi Vintage! Congratz on your butterfly!

Strike that. I doubt I'll often leave the house with it. I'll have to show it off from time to time.
