My little bottle feeding babies. I have been busy the last few weeks making blankets galore for a fundraiser for a school club I got started to aid in rescuing our baby ferals and spay/neuter of the adults as well as the upkeep of the babies until they are old enough to adopt out. We are also teaming up with our Humane Society and local rescues -- hence the two babies. It was either take them or know they were put down. I have approved a good app on little Chloe and she should be ready for spay and vaccinations in another two weeks and then home she will go! Tomorrow will start a three day food/supply/cash drive. I made two little baskets this weekend (Glamour Girl is in one of them) and I am hoping they are too cute for people to resist dropping money into. That's my news for the week :)

ooooooooooooooooooooooo! I want GG!

Good morning Tripsters !!

Yesterday I went to UC Santa Cruz to see the newly opened Grateful Dead Archive. When I got there the archivist was there giving a tour to a friend from back east. I was asked to join them and ended up spending and hour and a half with them. I had a awesome time trading history. He asked me to set an appointment with him to tape a story for the archives that he had never heard of before.... pretty cool stuff :)

Thought about you Freddy with this stained glass piece. (bad photo though :()

Hey Kaefo and Good Afternoon Trippyville,
I am hoping if they go through Indy that they'll plan to stay. If they can then we'd be happy to set something up at my place and all who want to come and gather will be welcomed. We'll do some kind of meal and the bar has been fully over-stocked. we already had the house setup for company from last night's party. However, the weather was a bit unfriendly and everybody decided to head out early. We're all decorated, cleaned up and waiting for a reason. Just a thought/offer. Brew

Took a while to catch up today...

Congrats S&S! What a blessing!

Amie, I am so sorry about your setup. I know how much you looked forward to that Lavatank. :(

Bert, amazing Halloween tips! I will be watching your travels to see if you get near central Illinois. I think I remember you saying a while back that you thought you would go through Indy which is just about 2 hours away. Maybe I will be able to get over there to visit you and Brew.

Last night was my 9th annual chili cook-off/party. I am exhausted today, but it sure was fun. 12 (or so) different chilis, beer, Bloody Mary and martini bar, poker games, fire in the backyard pit...now there's the cleanup...lol! It was our 6 month old puppy's first party. She is having a hard time waking up today too!

Morning Tripsters .... how goes it?

Delilah and East Coast folks!! BE SAFE!! My in-laws are in Springfield Virginia, so hubby and I have been keeping an eye on the news. It looks like it could be really bad, so get batteries, a generator, whatever!! And wrap up those Trippies for safe keeping! LOL

Bert - the juice smelled wonderful, but was pretty muted I guess in the carto. I put it on my Twist, turned it up a bit, and it was a LOT better. :) I guess I will get a 650mah twist for that little pipe, that way I can adjust it. I was just trying to keep the long excess of battery sticking out down to a minimum, but oh well. LOL

HeHE! Funny you all are talking about the storm. I was gone for the last week, on a caribbean cruise. We had to avoid the storm, then let it go around us so we could get home. A few of the ships got stuck out there waiting.

Check out these pics:

Kinda cool seeing the progression over days, as the storm came up.

Nope! Great trip. Got all the islands we planned, snorkeling , s.c.u.b.a., and SHOPPING, all done then the trip back was all sailing. Rough waters, nice to sleep with the rocking. A BLAST of wind the last 2 1/2 days, we sat in the restaurants and watched people go out to smoke.
OH! and getting in one of the elevators, I met a guy with an Ego set up.
For those wanting to know, I vaped EVERYWHERE in the ship. Not a single person- employee or passenger said a negative word. Most of the staff asked what it was, then asked how to find e-cigs that worked. Even the smokers were interested. So even though RCCL has a stated policy, dont worry about the actuality. I think its more for a CYA effect.

Overnight air parcel coming your way. Canned goats milk and bottles provided. ;)

OH! Don't I wish!!! My co-op residence has a Grandfather policy for those who have pets -- and don't allow any more pets in the building :( Whaaaaaaaaaaaa! I think it's time to move! :)

Delilah - you aren't in "Zone A" are ya??

No, we're not -- thank you Blu  Or B or C! I'm happy for me and my family but have some out of harms way guilt  Prayers and blessings to all in Sandy's path :nun:
