WNC are the ihybrids VV? or does one require a kick? they sure look good in the photos I have seen :)

No, the iHy is purely a mechanical device. Faceless does sell kick tubes for them if you so desire. And yes, they are very photogenic. :D

Edit: sorry it's early and pre-coffee

LMAO, classic!

The kick is really great in the iHybrid Kami, it pops in and sits in the top of the tube just right. It almost feels like there is a magnet holding it in there. When you go to remove it, just give a gentle tap on your hand and it pops right back out. I have used the Zen products and the iHybrid, and they are both really great!

Morning Tripsters ... how goes it?

Hope everyone in the East is safe, and mainly dry. :(

Kami - I have no iHy. I have Kat .... and I will love her, and pet her, and buy her new hats.

Amie - I like the ZAP and ZAG only because if I choose not to use the atty part, the mod (ProVari or GGTS) can still be multipurpose. I am trying to do away with redundant mods, so if it can do more, I am all for it.
I have not tried a iHy though, so can't say if it's better or not.

Not necessarily Reid. Buzz always says to soak your unit in alcohol, blow it out and let dry. But one of the Buzzard's is an electrical engineer and says water is the best solvant and doesn't leave any residue.

That being said, that would be only if the vv is acting up, which usually indicates juice in the PCB.

I did the alcohol with one of my BPs, Wharfie, and ended up having to send it back for surgery. Mike said it had a bad PCB.

I have a quick question... I have a line on a zap, but then realized I could get a ihybrid for just about 70.09 more. I have one proveri left, so I can use the zap, but I am wondering which do others prefer? Or is there something I am missing, and should look for something else? Just curious before putting out the money.

I have both.. Overall use, the ZAP is a little more adjustable with the VV, if you put a kick in the iHy it's also adjustable so that kinda negates it. The ZAP is much more picky to set up and keep running happily. If you've never had a rebuildable genesis style get the iHy.. setting up a coil on a provari with it giving you errors and refusing to fire so you can see where your problems are make it really annoying. Faceless is going to be making (like within the month) an adapter that turns the bottom part of the iHybrid into a standard mod type battery holder so you can put any 510 atty on it if you want, it'll be a cheap add-on. Likewise he's gonig to make an adapter that goes onto the top part so you can use the iHybrid as an atty on any other 510 battery holder. That one's a bit further down the line than the other, but shouldn't be long. Faceless works in time lines of weeks unlike most other makers that work in months to years.

way too many pages to catch up on..

New York is getting pounded on right now. Yay. Just went and fetched the things out of the basement that can't handle a foot and a half of flooding. If we get more than that we have bigger problems than some fabric getting ruined.

Timmy wants a green dragon tip... how to procure one for him?
Should be some in the next sale :) So you think you're out of the worst with the weather in your area? Thats good..

LMAO Awesome...

Same here, and if I do get an error, it's only protecting me, from me. :D
I still get errors on the Provari so I stopped wrapping on it. Those little 1.3ohm coils like to give me errors lol. But after learning to wrap on the Provari other devices got a lot easier :)

It's not a sunny day here, but everything is A-Okay by us in the northern section of NYC - southern NYC, Long Island, and New Jersey not so much
Schools are closed, subways and buses are not in service yet .. glad ECF is back -- missed you guys last night!

EDIT: To add thanks to everyone here for their concern and support! It took some of the edge off of some very stressful days!
