Good Day TrippyTipsKnz

H258e.jpg

It's not a sunny day here, but everything is A-Okay by us in the northern section of NYC - southern NYC, Long Island, and New Jersey not so much
Schools are closed, subways and buses are not in service yet .. glad ECF is back -- missed you guys last night!

EDIT: To add thanks to everyone here for their concern and support! It took some of the edge off of some very stressful days!

So you think you're out of the worst with the weather in your area? Thats good..

No, not at all.. We have a lull now after the storm from the midwest, Sandy hasn't hit us yet. I will be on top of us tomorrow morning. People here are acting like everything is fine, like that's all there was.. it's a dangerous situation but people are being ........ including my Fiance's work whose HR department decided to rule against the corporate decision to let people work from home today.

I hope you're not in an evacuation zone! If your fiance has days he can take he should take them NOW! Lots of those who did not heed the warnings here in NYC, Long Island, and New Jersey are regretting their decisions big time! Better safe than sorry! Take all measures you can take -- have groceries, canned goods, put bottles of water in the freezer so they can freeze and keep food cold in the event of power outages, charge everything you can, fill the bathtub with water, etc. etc... We were fortunate and the worst for us was fallen trees and lots of rain, but I'd take every measure I could all over again just for a piece of mind Fisty.

Thank you so much  -- I'm good -- my thoughts turn to Bonniegirl now -- hadn't heard from her in a while before the storm and now with all the damage to NJ, I wonder when we'll hear from her again

Yikes well I hope everything turns out ok at your place. I didn't realize there was a second storm from the midwest  That's ridiculous they wouldn't let Tim come home, especially if Sandy is meant to hit your area tomorrow, people need time to get their places prepared

Hey Ben did you find your ProVari

Sent while Hyper Vapin a Trippy Tipped Reo
Yes sir :) It was tucked just under the couch I was sleeping on that night lol  Hasn't left my side since, I'm not using it right now but its still in my bag right next to me. I was scared for a minute there, my Provari is one of my favorites, I spent almost a year pining for it before I got one.

He only has a half a day of PTO available and he has to use it tomorrow afternoon to go see a retina specialist 'cause one of his has a hole in it. It's the only thing keeping him from quitting his evil job right now. That's assuming the doctor's office is even open tomorrow, I'm guessing it won't be. Overall just kinda sucks. If they decide to just watch it it's going to make it nearly impossible for him to leave cause he'll lose his insurance, and if he has to have surgery after that it will break us. I'm hoping they will want to fix it right off so he can be done with it. It's the precursor to having your retina detach, pretty scary.

Edit: the suburb just north of us evacuated all the coastal houses, about 2200 homes. That's 5-10 miles north of here. We're pretty well stocked, got 7 1/2 gallons of water and lots of candles and canned foods.

Hi Cyclin - so happy you found your Provari :D

For the last few months I was thinking I'd be done with vaping by my two-year mark (in December) but like you, I've been pining for a Provari -- the mini Provari with Green LED is calling to me
Honestly its a great device, which is why people are still buying them and the Provape price never had to drop. Totally worth it IMO. I didn't realize you were thinking of giving up vaping :( Right now I'm not sure if I will ever stop vaping but it is a possibility in the future.

Go for the new Google nexus tablet!

I would but its not gonna have a memory card slot  Which is also why I'm staying away from the iPads.

I'd rather just toss a 32gb memory card in there and expand the drive space myself. Right now what I'm looking for is at least 1gb of RAM and a nice little processor, hopefully on a 9-10" screen with a high resolution and supporting Android 4 and up.

The main drawback for me with the Nexus is the internal harddrive. The other hardware is arguably the best tablet hardware to date. I just can't see myself using a tablet with 16gb of space (which my phone has, and is filled up ) but I'm unsure about getting the 32gb version at $500. I'm a little to cheap for that right now

Cyclin - I held it under a lamp for just a bit and looked, and it was bright green. LOL

Bert - I saw you mention that before, and told DD I was gonna write "Boo!" on it ..... she thought I meant with a pen and was all "No ... don't do that!".
I was thinking of putting a cut out pumpkin face on it also, and letting it sit in the light, like a stencil
