Howdy Trippy Nation,
Been a busy day even with nothing planned. Just got all caught up only to crash my evening hearing about Reid's Mom. I go to bed every night hoping that my Mom will be there when I wake and at her age you never know. I can't imagine how this must be to lose someone suddenly. We've never had someone pass unexpectedly. I need a bit of downtime to get ready for bed. I am sending all my thoughts and prayers to Reidus' and his family at this very moment. I have lived my life, since getting caught in a blasting accident in my 20s, like everyday is going to be my last but losing someone so close is something I'm not sure I'm prepared for completely. Oh yes ..... Getting to see last winters foals weaned and personalities emerging..... seeing that the mares are healthy and happy...having the ranch and clinic improvements complete .... being back to work ....well that part is not so great overall it's always nice to be back

Hey Bert, what kind of bamboo wick are you using and where did you get it. I'm having issues with flavor & fraying using this 3mm silica and want to give the bamboo a try. I rebuilt my wick & coil about 6 times over the weekend and I either get a lot of fraying/unraveling or the flavor is muted agin. I'm gonna see if this last one seasons out a bit but want to try the bamboo either way!

My sincere condolences on the loss of you mother reidus.

Guys, I'm going to be on and off for a while over the next few days. My mother passed away this afternoon from a heart attack. I talked to her at lunch today and she complained of her chest hurting. I tried to talk her to go to the hospital, but she swore it was just stress from dealing with Beau (her lab). I tried again before we hung up and she said she would be fine. She laid down to take a nap and never woke up! Though she had high blood pressure, there was no evidence of heart disease, nor are heart attacks common in our family. Ladies, I'm harshly reminded of the fact that women often express heart attack symptoms quite differently from men. Please, please, please if your chest hurts, go to your doctor or hospital! I'm driving home tomorrow; I think I prefer driving to flying. I might change my mind; I'm still reeling.

I'm really sorry for your loss Reid this is really sad you are most definitely in my thoughts and prayers my friend

Reidus - I know there are really no words to say to comfort you, but please know my heart goes out to you and you will be in my thoughts and prayers.

If you need someone to talk to who is dealing with a similar loss, please give me a holler, it's a tough road and harder than I ever imagined, but being able to reach out to friends and family for support does help ease the pain.
