Hey Pain! Hey Wharf and Sashwa ...

Sash - it's fun to look around eBay for deals. DD hasn't even set her bum on a horse yet, so I am going to get her used boots and a new helmet, have to protect her egg. LOL
I asked Kami about brands, since I haven't ridden in about 40 yrs, and I think a used pair of really good boots should hold her for a bit. :)

Oh, and I can shine some boots! (thank you US Navy!)

Yep ... good ole black paste wax, a cotton ball, and water ..... I used to shine my shoes for hours, and got them looking like patent leather. On one inspection, the Capt even said "Too bad you didn't wear leather shoes" .... I said "Well Sir, these ARE leather." LMAO
(wearing patent leather to an inspection is poor form)

I was at Pendleton while I was enlisted, and then LeJeune later after I got Commissioned .... at the hospitals both times, so more of a Navy population, work wise. Hubby was with the Marines a lot more than I was. He was Recon for a while, then a lot of clinics, so he was in cammies all the time. LOL
I wore scrubs most of the time anyway.

Ooh, DFW got some really cool ones! Can't buy any today, though. The gf is dragging me down to Wrentham Village this weekend (making me drive, of course). She hates to shop and hates crowds, but it was her idea . . . go figure. I just console myself in the fact that I'll be getting a honkin' wedge or two of good fresh fudge from The Fudgery while I'm there :D
You too?? This weekend I'm being dragged to LA so she can go shop in "the alleys"

a woman who doesn't like to shop?
Yup, she's located right near the winged bovine, chatting it up with Little Nemo (not the fish, the boy who flies his bed through dreams)

Evening Trippy Folks,
Finally got home and had all kinds of vape mail. Bert and Dave HC made my day, month and quite likely year by delivering my awesome Captain Morgan bust trippy. I was also quite surprised to see the Eye-patched Pirate Bert had posted here previously with a note telling me that the Stow-away had cracked but that he thought I might enjoy him anyway. Well Bert you're absolutely right and the Captain has made him 1st Mate. I'm vaping my REO Grand Pirate-style right now.

Oppa Pirate Style

or maybe this Pirate's Style

In any event I'll be rocking this next year for the Talk like a Pirate day for sure. Thanks so very much and I'll protect them as best I can!

Here's the PIC

Those tips are so badass man, and thanks a lot now I have that gangham style stuck in my head again

Evening Willow :)

Nice to have new tires on the car -- we got new tires this past summer, and the peace of mind that comes with it! ;) -- I didn't think of the spare! Gotta fix that! :)

Have a lovely evening
Oh thanks for reminding me! New tire week!

so I got my first tip today.....and I love this thing!!!! The mouth is super wide, which is not at all like my other tips, but i'm diggin it :)

Looks awesome KT :D

Morning Tripsters ... how goes it?

DD wants to take riding lessons, so I have a whole new category to BUY stuff in!!! :toast:
Doing great Blu :D

My sister took riding lessons, she loved it. Also, if you have DD help mucking the stables and helping out a bit here and there, the usually cut you a break on the lessons. My sister got so into working with those girls that her lessons were all "free" near the end :) My aunt raises horses but she llves too far north, by Sacremento

My MOS was Disbursing. In Barstow I worked with mostly civilian women and they all kinda adopted and mothered me. I was barely 18 when I was there.

At TI we did mostly early outs so I got to see many of the guys I knew from CJ and Barstow. Also found out many of my friends didn't make it back from 'Nam. :(

Oh thats cool you were in Barstow :) Thats where my grandparents lived for a long time. After Hawaii, Guam, Ohio, and all the other random places you go when you're civilian military. My grandfather was a decorated engineer for a long time... Sorry to hear about your friends tho.
