Yep ... good ole black paste wax, a cotton ball, and water ..... I used to shine my shoes for hours, and got them looking like patent leather. On one inspection, the Capt even said "Too bad you didn't wear leather shoes" .... I said "Well Sir, these ARE leather." LMAO
(wearing patent leather to an inspection is poor form)

My husband was in the Navy. He was a nuclear chemist...and when he was in boot camp they had them use maxi pads. He still swears by them lol

We just used spit instead of water Black shoe polish, and old white sock, and good ol'-fashioned saliva

I asked them yesterday what size it is, but no answer yet ..... and it's a GOOD deal on a new helmet.

Argh! Trying to etch a wraparound on a cylinder and my math is failing me. having to do trial and error uses painters tape masks, that way I don't f up the object before the wraparound works. Basically, its a celtic band that meets up at either end

EDIT: Nevermind the pass I ran while typing this matched perfectly

Mike, I'm on the fence on that Trippy you like -- it's on the larger size for me believe it or not Shoot me a PM - maybe we can work something out
