So... Who drives around for almost 11 months with an expired license? Apparently I do
I've been carded, handed my license over for check and credit card use, check cashing, hotel check-ins, etc., many times this year, and no one else had noticed the date either. Luckily I noticed it when digging through my wallet today, better me finding out and fixing it than getting pulled over and being told about it by a cop . Oh and they charge penalties when you don't renew when you're supposed to :glare: plus I had to buy tabs for the car today, they expired last saturday. It's a good thing I already have money sitting in paypal or I'd have to miss the sale.

haha, sorry you had to go through that, but at least it reminded me my license expires soon

Can't say I have any experience with expired licenses, but my mother has forgotten to register her car a couple of times. Toward the end of the summer when I was home after my freshman year she sent me to the store to get more leaf bags (this was probably August sometime, her registration is due in October). I never made it to the store, got pulled over and couldn't drive the car home since it was un-registered. I knew the cop, so we had a little fun with the situation . . . towed her car home and had me cuffed in the backseat of the police car. Mom was out raking leaves and freaked out as he was getting me out of the cruiser. In hindsight it was pretty mean, but her reaction was priceless!

The Les Schwab guy said it's because the Nissan factory puts cheap tires on their new cars. :glare:

It's typical of a lot of brands, not just Nissan. And I never buy replacement tires from a dealership 'cos in my experience they never have lasted as long as tires I've bought cheaper from other places :2c:

Fran, the sales aren't nearly as hectic as they used to be. For the last couple, the site was running smoothly and I'm sure it will do so again this time. Just don't spend too much time browsing once something is in your cart, it's best to go straight to checkout once you get a tip in there that you want ;-)

Evening, Tripsters! :vapor:

With a sale on the horizon you should check the thread as much as possible until Bert gives us a time.

Typically they are at night 8-10 central. They have however taken place earlier in the evening or even the middle of the night.

Hoping for a standard sale time myself as I have to work tomorrow(hint hint)

Update from the Dragon Warriors Serv "Ralf"
The operation went well. They removed the cancerous lump and 3 lymph nobes The Lymph gland were very important. Although they will now test her whole body and won't know till next week the fact that these were clear is a miracle and the Doctor feels the rest will be the same . Hope that makes some sense. She's the technical one I can't spell to save myself.
Next treatment will be both Chemo and Radiagtion when the

wound heals, about 3 weeks time.
My girl is tough but this is the part that scares her the most she has nursed people going through it and seen it all.
Thank you again for caring, she doesn't like brag or get attention on herself but this has shown how muh people care about her.

Not sure if I am allowed to post in the thread about the glass tubes over the wicks, but I want to let you see for yourself why flame polishing at home is a bad idea.

Pic 1... scored/snapped tube (Pic taken under polariscope...)
3u8a4avy.jpg

All those things on the end are cracks that can spread with minimal heat causing chips to become airborne ending up in your lungs :(

Pic 2... I flame polished smooth without annealing. (Pic taken under polariscope...)
epu5ugu8.jpg

Those dark/light bands going around the tube are permanent stress. When heat is added to the stress it can cause the glass to shatter as well. :(

Pic 3 will be the same tube under polariscope after it anneals. All of the stress will be gone, and the edges perfectly smooth.

Please spread the word so nobody hurts themselves. Just wanted to add a scientific approach to the r&d of these. It will only take one person getting hurt to ruin this fantastic development in the vaping world. Let's do this right!
