Mornin P. Hope you're having a great morning.
Okay, I just found out one irritating thing about my Zmax. when I change batteries, it remembers all of the settings, except that when I press the power button it shows wattage rather than battery life, which is what I'd set it for. Unlike the Vamo, which I have to reset wattages (luckily, it stays in VRMS mode, rather than the inaccurate AVG). Also, the Vamo cuts off when you change batteries, which I find humorous. If I had given Tara the Vamo, I can imagine the frantic phone call "It's won't work!" To which I'd say, hit the button 5 times, lol.

Good morning, everyone. I'm going to make a small statement and I hope that I do this as neutrally and plain as possible so I don't have to restate this again.

It's a very interesting time in our lives, technology has allowed for us to be in full communications globally and right here is as good as an example as it gets. I appreciate every single aspect of it as an artist because I can share and empower my "voice" to people in a very clear way.

I am also aware of the shortcomings having this open line of communications bear to an artist and his creative integrity. I have seen it over and over again how one design, one intellectual artistic conception can get assimilated and washed down in a matter of days even. I actually just had that happen while introducing my "developed for 13+ years" marble studies. I posted my work, offered a signature series starting in December and I literally saw a young artist copy, create and market "his" piece within days. It doesn't sit well, mind you. It's frustrating and demeaning to say the least. I get it, some people need to copy.

I am experiencing the same thing with making some tips right now. I feel that the lines of artistic integrity have been blurred and crossed. I cant help it, I dont have the power to stop someone from violating my "voice", all they have to do is look here anyway and read my feelings, see my work. I cant keep people from using my favorite designs and making them out of Chinese "art" glass, I am just an artist that is trying to express his inner self and uphold his art as "collectible" I will tell you that it hurts not only my inner self, but the integrity of my work. I feel washed down, labeled, demeaned, copied and disrespected.

That said, I am happy for you as collectors to have a "choice", to see how this dialog that Bert unfolded is not only inspiring other artist to join in, but how awesome it is to see when that expression hits the mark, makes a new statement. I am very happy for you all and I know some of you advocated for this to happen, which is why I am doing this publicly, I am going to ask that you all as collectors keep your own vigil to attempt at upholding the integrity of what you have invested into. I would like to see our product stand apart from anyone else so that integrity is not blurred. I would like to see our names not be copied. If we make a piece and called it by a specific name...that is our design, our product. It is lacking of common integrity to copy a design and it's name while using the cheapest color glass available made from china. We make art glass drip tips from the best quality art glass and that should be unacceptable to any of you as well.

I will not discuss this any further, I cant. I will also say that I am trying extremely hard not to feel demoralized and continue providing you all with my innermost craft and thank you for listening.

Awww, Freddy, that makes my heart ache for you. There may be imitators, but none will come close to what you and The Trippy Team create.

Thanks, guys. I just wish for a clear boundary in product labeling to occur. I want to image search "helix donut" and see only pieces that we created, is that too much to ask? Isn't that a common rule of business conduct and negligible by law? I have no power over it and honestly....I'm more productive not even focusing on it, I can create and be expressive that way.

I will be more guarded for a little while, but expect some amazing work from me :D

Right before my self inflicted hiatus from Trippyville, there was talk of being able to send our little lovelies in for spa treatment. I have two tips that need some TLC, one with a pretty significant crack and chip and one with just a couple of little nicks.
Is the Trippy spa open, and if so, is it in Colorado?

Freddy I can completely understand your feeling. Creating a piece of art is very personal and to have someone recreate it and then use the same name has to be tough. Even though my creation isn't art, there is a well known company making something not too simular but has used the exact same name and it is disheartening.

Know that TT is my one and only source for glass tips.

Mornin tripsters! Hope y'all are having a great AM!
I'm pleased to say that I actually slept for 8 hours last night w/o any assistance for the first time since Mom passed. Time will tell if I've turned a corner or not.
Amber, you'll be pleased to know I haven't had any more issues with my buttons on my Vamo. I'm starting to think it was a one-off. Hope so anyway, because I'm loving it! I can't get over how much harder both it and my zmax hit compared to my twists. Since I vape using LR attys/cartos, it's not a matter of insufficient wattage.

Actually it is Reidus. I'm probably going to botch this up a bit, but..... the lower the Ω the more amps it takes to get the desired wattage. The less mAh a battery has the less max amps it can deliver (or so). When LR came out they said don't use batts under 450mAh. The Twist will still deliver voltage, but it can't push enough current to deliver the wattage desired. That's why IMR batts are desired for boost regulators because they have high max amps available.

I want to start by saying that anyone who owns any of the magnificent art pieces that you Bert, Matt, Dave, or Josh put out KNOWS the difference and your works of art speak for themselves
We all know the saying that imitation or copying is the highest form of flattery or something like that:D but for the majority of us that really care and are serious collectors we KNOW the difference and truly appreciate all the heart and soul you guys put into each and every piece you create! With that said you also have to understand that there is also a market for the copiers not everyone is as talented as you guys and there are people that are fine with cheap Chinese knock off stuff hence the reason china is such a super power in manufacturing a prime example is the tool industry I buy harbor Freight tools which are all Chinese cuz I simply can't afford the good stuff
The RBA market is another prime example ie the Chid and Chobra

Just keep one thing in mind my friend when people want the best top quality tips or marbles/orbs they know where to get them
Your works of art speak for themselves :D

You know what. I've spoke with this on other forums here and I agree fully. I like to support a brand that does me right. I bought an iPhone in 2007 and Apple has treated me and their devices how a company should. They're in the same boat as you, how wee, with many of their products and even stores! (Such as the App Store). Innovation is KEY to a marketplace. These patent wars people say are destructive to giving people freedom of choice, but sometimes the choices should be different. Sometimes people have to make their own twist on a device instead of blatantly copying. I don't veer off from products I like. I received a TT, loved it, bought 80$ worth. I won't buy any of drip tip, unless someone makes some kind of huge advancement. Also, I heard that if one breaks, TT will at least work with you to get it fixed. Sometimes, even though if repairs cost money, this keeps customers very happy due to the support of the company.

I believe in brand loyalty(it might take awhile to find that brand), it's kinda my thing. ;) I'm a drummer in a band, so creativity is a BIG part of my life. I have influences, but don't copy!

And get better Vintage! I'm sorry you have 4 boobs currently :p. I hope you're not offended by that. I'm 21 and any boob talk grabs me :p

I'm with Amber. I've tried another glass vendor but all 3 of the tips are being sent to Bert to get trippified. One of which got turned into a small paper weight.

In my humble opinion, Bert and the DreamTeam make the bestest and put a little soul in their creations.

Thumbs up to Bert and the DreamTeam!!!!!

Good morning everyone.
