Maybe on the customs you could keep it at a set number. For example, 10 people at a time can be on the list for customs, once 10 orders have been taken, customs go to "sold out" status. Once those 10 are finished, another 10 custom orders will be accepted. (I don't have any idea how long the custom list is or how long the wait is, fwiw) But keeping it a manageable level, whatever you feel that would be, whether 5 or 25 at a time, might work.

Well, I am off to class sporting a new Trippy tip to match my outfit. Yay! :)

And since I just realized I didn't say anything this morning - Vintage, I am so happy to hear that they got all the cancer. Not having it in the lymph nodes is very, very good thing! Keep up the good fight! *hugs*

Nice. Gonna be making more commissions now. Recently met a lot of winery owners who want to place their orders through me, problem is if they had done any business with one of our salesmen before they would get the commission not me. Talked to my boss and if I'm bringing in the orders and notify him of each I will get the commission over the salesmen that the customers hadn't talked to in a year anyway :)

Rock on. Now that POS can't steal my commissions anymore..

Oh and with the amounts theyre talking if I bring in 4 more good-sized orders I will beat out the Northern chapter's best salesman in sales this year. That's saying something since I'm the Technical Administrator, not even supposed to talk to customers

Hi Bert :)

I think if you're having to remake them often then the idea of a sketch before starting, a conversation on skype or phone, maybe even pictures throughout the process would help so things could be taken care of as they happen.

and also:

Hi Bert :)

I know that those with custom orders are supposed to get emails when the custom work begins. I'd like to suggest an update email that lets those of us who are waiting know where we are in the Trippy Que :D (?) - Thank you

This! Yes, more communication would be awesome.
I don't care if I have to wait for the custom work to be done, but having some idea of when it might possibly happen would be wonderful. Since I ordered I've wondered, will I get it by halloween? what about by christmas? my birthday? maybe valentines day? I have no time frame to work with, so basically it's all just sitting back in the dark wondering what's going on lol.
However I'm sure people new to Trippy Tips who just jumped in and ordered a custom for their 1st tip are concerned about the time it takes. So maybe on the custom order page you could have something that says - "Because of the popularity of the custom order option, the custom orders line is very long. Please be aware that it's going to be at least 3 months before we get to make this order" I just think it would be good for people to know going into this how long it may take.

Maybe on the customs you could keep it at a set number. For example, 10 people at a time can be on the list for customs, once 10 orders have been taken, customs go to "sold out" status. This seems like a good idea as well. If you're having to make hundreds for each sale, and hundreds more for various vendors, then maybe open season on customs is too much going on and limiting the amount of custom orders you take in per month is a good thing.

The other night I was in doing the dishes and when I came back my mod was sitting on a different spot on the table than it was when I left. I looked closer and my trippy was missing! I looked at my hubby and he got all wide eyed and said "I didnt do it I didnt do it I didnt do it!" Very calmy I said, "Where's my tip?" "I didnt do it I didnt do it I didnt do it" I say, "You broke it didn't you?" At this point I thought he was going to hyperventilate, Im sure I had a hell of a look on my face. The tip was sitting behind the box unharmed. You should have heard the sigh of relief he let out when I said it was ok! LOL!

 Ya, we need to keep a frying pan next to the Trippys

I HAVE NEWS TRIPPYVILLE.

The Doctor just phoned 8.pm and told me the Cancer has all be cut out with full marjins no cancer in the lymph knodes.:rickroll:
So no more surgery.
Next is Radiation and Chemo after this heals.
So now I go and see this specialist who works out the Chemo and Radiation. I still have some work to do but the Dragon Warrior is winning

Awesome new, Vintage! Very glad to hear it

That was pretty much what came to my mind, too. Limit it to a certain number of custom orders, then remove the item from the site or mark as "out of stock" until ready for the next batch of orders.

Evening, Tripsters! I got Trippy mail today, it's in the pics thread :vapor:

Yay! Thank you Freddy! You can save yourself the shipping and wait to send them until you have one of our customs. Both are coming up soon I think!

They've been shipped! I had 5 boxes to send out...and I'm getting the label printing thing down too, so well worth the shipping "dialog"

Awesome sauce!

Nice kobuki you scored today by the way. ;)

Yea, John Kobuki is an impressive artist that has inspired many people to create in his style. I am constantly blown away by how clean and precise his work is. He makes beautiful series' of flowers, samurai warriors, and jellyfish into spheres. I admire him for his integrity in craft.
I purchased the piece for Raychel as her holiday gift.
