I can still hardly believe that custom ordering is open all the time. Perhaps custom ordering should be done in runs....Take however many orders you can complete that month or so and just shut it down until you are ready for more.

Realizing you are trying to keep everyone happy.....I figure if there is something someone really wants.....a bit of waiting and legwork ahead of time shouldn't be too big a deal, especially if the end result is smoother overall

As far as the ordering form goes, I never liked having to check the boxes. I would prefer to simply tell you in words what I want and you get back to me with a quote. The boxes didn't even come close to nailing down what I was looking for so I would select stuff only to get up to the price I thought it should be, then would have to explain what I wanted anyways.

I realize I'm a little late to the party:facepalm:

My opinion about custom ordering....

I hate to see custom ordering limited. I chatted with Bert about my custom on the phone and I'm sure that enabled him to make several things that he knew was to my taste.

Freddy has been working off and on with a piece that requires a lot from him and I am happy to wait. I check in with him every once in a while to see how it is going, but other than that I am in no rush. I would rather him take the time and do it like he thinks it ought to be than to hurry just to get something in my hands.

I would just build something in to the order that gives an approximate time frame based on the number of previous orders. I think this should be in the preorder stage before people hit "pay" so they can back out if they don't want to wait. e.g Your custom trippy will be completed in approximately 3 months, 6 months, etc.

I LOVE being able to order something unusual, above and beyond the fabulous everyday trippies and would also hate to see that disappear.

For now, custom ordering will have to be done through PM. I can still add it to your cart for you, it just won't show up on the home page. This will let me have some way of letting people know how far behind we are, and eliminate the need to check boxes, etc. (I will have to check all the boxes for you)

Cyclin I had to tell you , your daughter puts a smile on my face everytime I see her. Just a little ANGEL/
and
I've been waiting on this assistance program to help mom move back home for months now and everytime I call and ask when they say they dont know when. Well they just called me and said she's moving home in FOUR DAYS! I think a little more notice should have been in order here. That means I have four days to get her wheelchair ramp built, her hand rails installed, her lunch service to come, her meds set up, a lift chair so she has somewhere to sit, her life alert installed and figure out how to use this crazy medminder thingy. Looks like I'm def stuck close to home for the weekend now. Dangit.
AMBER they didn't give you much time to prepare for your Mum. This could be a difficult time for you, do you have any close friends to help?

I wanted to let everyone on Trippyville know how the money they have raised is being used. Part of it paid for my excess for the Hospital but the best thing I was able to do was instead of using the cheaper pain killers when I got home I was able to get the more expensive drug which worked much better then the one I would have been on.
It is such a gift you have given me to be able to make these choices.
Next will be Chemo & Radiation and once again there are choices.
So I will certainly be useing rest of the money when I make those decision.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

I am so happy to read this. I can't imagine not having the best pain meds available after your surgery. So glad you had the choice and that we could help. Thinking about you and praying for you every day!

Vintage - be sure and ask about Zofran also for nausea .... dad had that and it worked GREAT, but it was pricey-pricey. :(

Seriously vintage it is the only thing that works with me! levaquin is what they have me on now. It kills my stomach so Zofran workers wonderful. I was on vancomycin and gentamicin..but guess who was allergic....and then they put me on tigar something it tore me up, but now I am back on levaquin. I know how hard the next part will be but that is why we are here!!

So sweet of you to be worried about me now! The program that's transitioning her is helping with some things. Lunches and meds and baths when she gets home, so I'm hoping this time will go better than last. I have my husband and my sister and her fiancée. They usually won't help me with mom, but a little water works and I think they'll do what I need.
