Just got home from braving the mall for shopping with my Mom. We had a good time and she had me in stitches. I will try to share what she said and hope it translates as funny as it was in real life. My Mom has a terrible problem with mixing up common phrases and metaphors. For example, instead of saying "He made out like a bandit" she says, "He made out like a banshee". Which makes no sense, and for most of my life I believed her way was right...
So, they had these security people working in the parking lots today directing traffic. My Mom kept referring to them as Robocops. I finally realized she must mean "rent-a-cops" and so I corrected her. She responded by saying, "No, they are Robocops. Don't you see how they move their arms like they are doing the robot when they direct traffic?" and proceeded to demonstrate the Robot dance.
Oh, I am still laughing. My belly hurts from laughing so hard.
