I was pleasantly surprised to receive that from you Kath, I got it about an hour ago...the land lord was holding it hostage! The pears were all there so I know they did not take a holder's fee.

We LOVE fruit ... we always have apples, but right now we aren't getting much up here. We are gorging on green grapes, mardarines, and bananas, but they are slim pickins.

I hung out up in the orchards/vineyards last time I was in WA. It's beautiful up there!
I love a good sweet cantaloupe ..... are they from Florida? Cali?
Anyway, I can't find any good ones. The ones we have in the stores are small and not very flavorful. Like watery or something.

Oh good! I was worried that your mailperson had taken them hostage, lol. They are really good pears, if you wait a day or two they will get so juicy you will need a spoon to eat them.
My Dad used to send me a box every year at Christmas and I would try to hide them from the hubby. 
I just wanted to send you a Christmas gift to thank you for everything you have done for me and the rest of the Tripsters this year!
