Sooner Mrs Wharf's Master's paper was due last Wednesday and she had worked thru Friday. DD's show ended a week ago and I was closing a book and had to work the first four days of my vacation. Needless to say there was a complete lack of Christmas spirit in our household. One of my coworkers came across town Wed night to carol at our door. It was the most amazing thing and it warmed our hearts and brought with it that spirit :)
My 'girls' power shopped yesterday, Mrs and I wrapped last night and were are stress free.........and this Nick is Jolly :):)

One present for dh, one for me.... well, okay, four. hahahaha. A new epipe and four big bottles of shire malt, but I share the joose with him. I think I am just about done buying mods.... unless something way new and improved comes out. Now I have to tackle that rebuildable Tammy sent me. I've been shying away from that and must make myself do it. Guess I'm scared I'll tear it up somehow. Plan to rewatch the videos before I do anything with it. Sending love, hugs, and my warmest Christmas wishes to you and your families.

Just got home from an early dinner down at my Dad's. One of his neighbors has an awesome decoration that I just had to share. Kinda hard to see all of it in daylight (taken with my phone at some distance away), but you get the idea once you see the lit up photo. The reindeer's heads move back and forth and the lights on the wheels flash slowly. Wicked cool idea

Merry Christmas everyone. Wishing everyone health and happiness for the New Year.
We are stress free Downunder. Just got up to coffee and presents and we are going to the most upmarket Restaurant for late lunch to celebrate. We thought this year we deserved a special treat so we are off to the Hyatt for lunch with some close friends.
I intend to get merry and just forget about everything for awhile.
I am all drugged up with painkillers so I am already pretty relaxed.
I feel so blessed to have you all there for me and I thank each and everyone of you for your support and kind wishes.
When things get tough I just get out your list of names I carry everywhere with me and instantly feel all your vibes pick me up and give me the strength to carry on.

Evening Tripsters, how goes it?

How safe and sounds, and tired as h*ll .... you can believe I ain't volunteering to cook again for a while!
Everything was doing well till our roast was heading towards medium 1 hour before it was supposed to! Guess my Mom's 1970s oven runs HOT! So panick mode kicked in for the potatoes, stuffing, mushrooms and green beans.
Oh well, everyone ate it, no one died, so it must have been ok.

De - I am doing Underworld and See's Mint Truffles.

Old ovens are fun Blu. The one we used to have was a nightmare, everything always had to be frequently rotated or one side would be burnt and the temp was never what it was supposed to be, had to constantly stick a thermometer in there to see what it was really doing.

Peanut butter blossoms and sugar cookies are made. m&m cookies are 1/2 finished then on to chocolate chip cookies. Make up a few cookie trays to give out tomorrow and then all my gifts will be done.
Everything else is wrapped and ready to go, that never happens before christmas eve LOL.
And the only thing I have to make tomorrow for christmas dinner is mashed potatoes.

Wish all I had to make was mashed potatoes.
I still have to finish up a few things tonight, then start cooking again around 10 a.m. for everyone to eat @ 5p.m. I'm absolutely worn out. But it's always a joy to spend time with family and friends, no matter the time of year. However, I'm turning off the phone and sleeping most of the 26th.
