Very Nice!!!

I also want to know more about the wick.....but I also really really want the tank and tip!!!

The wick was designed to take advantage of the capillary action possible from glass tubes. I am still working out the right formula for the perfect sized holes going through the wick. This proof of concept works, but not as well as the future designs will.

The TrippyTip tank Topper is sitting on an iHybrid. These are also a work in progress, and will make their debut at TrippyTips.com after an initial limited release to some testers is complete.

OK, What do you want to know? I'm all ears for a Q&A!

Ok I'll be blunt.....What is the wick!!! :D or at least how do it get one/some?

There have been a few of us over in this thread http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/modding-forum/362182-next-big-thing-porous-ceramic-wicks.html having good luck with the air stone. I'm kind of coloring outside the lines from the norm and using a square wick and horizontal coil, as the round is a little difficult to accomplish on a grinder and once shaped it is brittle when trying to wrap a vertical coil to the wick.

EDIT - by the time it got this wrote you had answered all my questions :D

I definitely admire the experimental wicks that are being created! TrippyTips.com has 3mm Pyrex Tubes available (paid for by one of our collectors Kami) for another experimental project that involved sleeving them over SS wicks.

To answer your question, the proof of concept is 100% clear borosilicate glass. In the future I might also experiment with making them out of quartz.

It utilizes capillary action. It is composed of many many small tubes sealed together.

Oh wow, Elf was talking about something like that and the fact it should work a few months ago, just using the ceramic vers glass. And yeah I knew about the iHy top cap having an iHy, I have seen pics of the ones you have sent out for testing lol. Can't wait to find out more, and if you need testers I would love to be on that list.

There are 10 people on the list to receive the test models, and once I have feedback about them they will be available on a first-come first served basis at TrippyTips.com.

From what I understand you will not get the capulary action of the quartz. But, the heat tolerance is much better. Is that correct? I have a couple airstones being made for me. But, I here there is still not enough wicking when using thirsty low resistance coils.

Capillary action can be acheived with quartz. The proof of concept was created out of pyrex because it needs less heat to melt. You are correct about the heat tolerance of quartz. It expands less when heated, and therefore is less likely to crack due to thermal expansion. I have been using this wick for about a week with no problems though.

You sure there aren't 11 names on that test list Bert????????????????????

Honostly there probably are more like 15 if you count the people working to make the project happen since they will be making some for themselves, and some going to faceless, and cyclin... Do you own an iHybrid BB?

I decided to come up with an all glass wick. It's a work in progress but it's coming along. Check out the proof of concept!

No more fibers, no more oxidized wicks, just pure vapor and flavor!

haha! and i was the first one to like it on fb and youtube > does that count for anything? like a new production of mus???
