Black & White designs are timeless in my opinion. The combination always invokes such powerful metaphors. Light & Dark, Good & Evil, and absolute certainty about a situation are the ones that come to mind right away. Even an otherwise ambiguous design can take on great meaning to people if it is in black and white. This is a theory that you will all see me exploring in the next few months.

Please inspire me and tell me what emotions, feelings, thoughts, or actions are inspired when you look at something in black and white vs. color? What are your favorite black and white works of art? Here is a little food for thought...

Good morning Trippyville,
Well it took me 45 minutes with the snow-blower to clear our drive so Mom's caregivers wouldn't be scared away. Had at least a 100' of 9" drift and the remaining 150' was a good 4"+. Man do I love that snow-blower. While growing up, my Dad used to send my sister and I out with snow shovels to clear a 120' drive so I REALLY hate to shovel now. In our previous home, we had two mostly 4WD vehicles and I just let it go as I figured 30' to the road was doable for us even with our small incline (3°) but it kept away anyone else who might knock on the door to try to proselytize or solicited.

Now that we're out in the county, only the Jehovah’s Witness groups stop by and then it's maybe once a month. It’s usually Saturday morning early so as they come up the drive with 4 or 5 people in a small plain jane 5-door hatchback, I just drop the robe in my office and answer the door in my undies. I’m really polite and try to strike up a meaningful conversation but wouldn’t you know it they always seem to bail almost immediately. I did have an older gentlemen stay a few minutes longer to chat but then I went for the meaningful scratch and he too was OUTTA HERE! However they do keep trying. I told Mrs. Brew my strategy but she’s not all that keen on giving it a try. However she did ask that I wake her next time I see them start up the drive so she too could witness. Brew

Good morning, Tripsters!

I hope everyone is having a great day!

I had my first interview yesterday and it went really well. Not sure it's exactly what I'm looking for, but a positive experience regardless.

Woke up to 15 rejection letters for jobs with the hospital. I knew they were a long shot without experience, but nothing ventured, nothing gained, I say.

I'm getting ready to head out to the nursing home I did my clinicals at as I just found out they are hiring and they seemed like a very nice place to work.

Well, I'm rambling, I hope everyone enjoys their day! :D

You'll get there, and it sounds like you have a very nice place to start from!
