Afternoon Blu :)

{{{{{Reidus}}}}}}

Reidus, I remembered your question about whether the Pluid would stain my TrippyTip -- it's been a couple of weeks I see no stain :thumb:

Bert (Hi :D) - can juice stain our Trippys?

No ma'am! juice could potentially dry and cake up on your TrippyTips, but should wash right off with a little water or alcohol. Even a sharpie left to cure for months would easily wash right off with a little alcohol leaving you with a sparkling clean TrippyTip in it's original colors!

Howdy Trippyville,
I hope everyone is well and that anyone needing strength can draw on those of us that can spare a bit. It’s been a busy few days and am loving having the wife home. We have had a few blips since they've been back after my Mom ran her car out of gas and blocked a major thoroughfare for a few minutes until a cop came and helped her get it off the road. Thankfully he called the house and the wife was there to pick up Mom. One of our cats is also suddenly not eating, our big boy to be exact, and we are trying to figure out what's going on. We may have to take him in if he doesn't get back to his normal "gobble-mode" fairly soon.

Pietro,
It seems many of the tight community members have pasts that might have been deemed miscreant and I too fall into the category but as you said I wouldn't change a thing as it all resulted in who I am and you are today. You’re a good guy now and that's all that matters. Live for today and use those previous lessons there to remind you what you overcame. You're a good man and my brother from a different mother. :headbang:

chances that they'll be caught are slim these people ship the merchandise to drops (Mail boxes setup up in fake names or to homes where no one lives and just watch for items to be delivered and then grab them off the doorstep:( ) just a couple of the methods used. I know this cuz I was once 1 of these degenerates unfortunately and only got caught because an associate got in trouble for something unrelated and gave me up to get out of trouble himself and I actually thank God that happened because now I live a hard working honest life that I'm very proud of and GUILT free (I paid my debt and did the time)and not sure if I would've ever stopped otherwise.

Bert have you seen this

Reidus, Amber and others I'm forgetting,
It seems we all share a bond related to our age and what we have agreed to take on. I too had to make this decision and the call came at 2am while fast asleep. My Dad had been in ICU for 7 weeks and wasn't getting any better. There was an issue that would have required a fairly painful procedure to give him a bit more time but it benefitted nobody but the family. He had missed his 2nd chemotherapy session and just the day before the oncologist told us that there was little hope for a cure. I had to make the decision to let him go and it was what he would have wanted could he have spoken to me.

Amber,
This is without a doubt the hardest thing you may ever have to do but it's obvious you get what matters and we all know you're doing all that you can to honor your Mother's wishes. I could only be so lucky to have someone like you looking out for me. Well I do but you know what I mean. We're here to listen if needed.

Amber, I feel your pain. My mother recently passed away. Luckily, it was quick and painless and we didn't have to worry about her DNR. That said, we all have DNRs as far as I'm aware. My grandfather had a stroke in 1987 that left him paralyzed, unable to write and unable to speak except in grunts. He existed for 9 years after that (I can't really say he lived). After that, none of us wished to have to go through that. In fact, my mother made me swear that if that happened to her, I would leave a pistol where she could get hold of it. We didn't dare discuss what she wanted to happen if she couldn't hold it.

Amber be brave for her and know that we are with you in whatever decision you make. I think about you a lot and know in my heart you will do the right thing when the time comes. In the mean time give her lots of love and kisses and wish her a safe and loved journey in peace.

Thanks for the support everyone. Sometimes, when I'm in her house, I like to sit in her chair and close my eyes and remember how she was when she was healthy. Cooking in the kitchen with the radio blaring. She loved to cook, even wanted to open her own restaurant. But when I open my eyes I see the shell of what is left. She can't cook, can't feed herself, and she just looks so tired. I understand that she doesnt want to live this way, and its selfish of me to ask that she sticks it out when it gets to the worst. Truth is, it wouldn't benefit any of us. Watching it, would be no better than living it. So I've made my peace.

I tried the toilet training route with Taj, he would get down to the smallest ring and that was it. I now notice he uses his litter tray hanging onto the side as if he was using the toilet bowl. Little bugger insists on litter and it better be clean. Best of luck.

And I am off today, using up some of the comp time from having to sub for other classes  It's nice to have the day, but I'd rather have had my planning periods during the school year.

I have been working all night (yep, no rest for the wicked) on this wreck of a kitchen. Everything I pulled out of my computer hutch littered the counters and the old computer and monitor are boxed and ready for storage if the cats will let me have a little of their room. Don't you sometimes wish you could have movers just come put everything out in the yard and you choose what goes back in and they leave with the rest? All I really need is my computer, liquor cabinet, something to sleep on, and a few litter boxes. Yeah hey -- this is going to be the summer to try to train the cats to use the commode. Six cats use a LOT of litter!

Pietro/Brew,

It is a beautiful thing that both of you were able to change your lives around as both of you have beautiful hearts that the world would miss.

When we were in Virginia taking care of my Dad during those last days, someone who had once been a close friend broke into our house, took everything we had (which wasn't that much, as we were in the process of moving), and cut the pipes to get to the copper, which literally flooded the entire house to the point it had to be condemned. Even though she wasn't arrested by the police, I know it was her because she had asked hte neighbors to borrow a hose and told them she was helping me move since we were out of town because of my Dad. She had gotten involved with .....

Two weeks later she was arrested for armed robbery, but got off on those charges because her Dad paid off the guy she robbed.

My husband is still very angry with her, but I still remember the good heart she used to have and mostly hope she hasn't gone so far down this path of destruction that she never finds her way back. I know it's a hard road and admire you all the more for making it through to the other side. :)

And on another note, don't forget that several of the Facebook pendant auctions are still going on and will be closing tonight, so if you were wanting to bid, get to it!!!! :D

Good evening Tripsters.

I hope you make lots of moneys for the tornado victims, Bert. Sorry but I can't participate but I don't do FB, Bert.

Hey Sashwa,
I would have done the auctions here but I didn't want to break any rules or cross any lines. Can you see the auctions without actually having a Facebook account?

I know Bert. I just wanted to let you know why I wasn't participating.

No, you have to have an account to see them I think. I can't even see your trippy facebook.

Speaking of miscreant pasts and color changing, I used to have several pieces of glass that would alter color when dirty.

My sister had some of that glass before she got pregnant. lol

Ok ok .... I just got a letter in the mail, and my Rewards VISA just DOUBLED my travel points!!

I just booked my flight for Vegas, for FREE, and still have MORE POINTS then when I started!!!:banana::banana:

I'm jealous! :D I also think I should maybe use a credit card more lol Very nice Blu!

Congrats to all those who won pendants! I'm off to eat some meatloaf and watch some tv with the hubby. (He gets off work late, so we keep some crazy hours)

:D

Thanks for helping with everything Kat, you did a great job :)

And Thank you Bert! Can't wait to see my new sparkly blue pendant :D

De - we have used the travel points a couple of times, Hubs went to his brother's retirement, kids' graduations, etc, all for free. It takes a bit to get enough points, but now I get 2-for-1 points, so it's even better. :toast:

In the last year I have started buying everything with my card, and just pay it off at the end of the month. I just used it in place of the cash.
