Fudgey or Mike ... how much notice do you guys normally get? I know the forecasting gets better and better.

With the big swirly things that hit Florida and the East Coast, at least you can see those truckin' across the Atlantic for days in advance.
That's when I would be driving to visit inland friends if I lived there. LOLOL
When we were on Guam, they would know the Typhoons were coming at least a week in advance.

stillwater, oklahoma
most of the time we have a good amount of warning. today the dry line sat up just to our west so stuff started popping up just a little west of us. they said we had an hour before it hit stillwater....they were a little incorrect as i think we drove through a small one in getting where we were going. i got drenched and hailed on pretty good getting everyone inside

My hubby is the weather watcher in our house, but I am set up to get emails and text about any warnings we have. They put the storm warnings way before the storms even get here too. We also have a weather radio that can wake up the neighbors  Otherwise of they say circulation we are out of here and on our way away from the storm to my nieces house. The bad part is that the tornados can drop down in under a few minutes. 8-o

Yeah ... or they can drop in the middle of the night. :(

An hour, or even a few hours, isn't much notice. Yikes!

I have a storm bag ready to go, extra clothes, dog food, our lock box and stuff. Also have an ecig bag to put my stuff in and a box ready for my Trippys :D We just grab and go!!

LMAO ... don't forget the Trippies!

Gosh .. I have nothing like that. We have a lock box, but if I had to go quick, I would just be grabbing stuff, disorganized as hell. LOL
Probably grab mods but no batts, tanks but no cartos, that kind of thing.
Oh .. and totally forget the juice. LOLOL

Good to see those from OK are doing fine. Was watching Kfor while at work, showing the tornado through El Reno. I cannot believe the size of the hail either! I don't think we've ever had any bigger than a golf ball up here.

We don't get anything up here except rain ... lots of rain.

Well, we did have that mountain blow up 30 yrs or so back, but that's a 1-in-100,000 year type of thing. LOLOL

Hey, we have baby earthquakes too lol

But yeah, rain and snow runoff during the spring/summer melts cause flooding in some places around here. Other than that we're usually ok nature wise. Oh I forgot the fire, not sure how. I still live in the center of a freaking ring of fire every summer.
